Do you think $2 for 400 words is an acceptable paying rate?

I think $2 sounds pretty good. If they are simple topics or broad topics, 400 words really wouldn't take that long to come up with. You could probably make $8 or $10 an hour which is pretty good for online work. Even if it takes a bit longer, it still seems like a reasonable amount. Could you PM me the site, I would love to check it out, would be much appreciated. I'd keep using the site, it sounds good.

Because you mentioned it being something that the writer knows well and is interested in, it shouldn't be a difficult thus in coming out with 400 words. What I would do is not to let the thought of balancing the output(the article) with the amount ($2). I would rather look at the $2 as a reward from my contribution rather than looking at $2 for 400 words.

In my opinion, probably not. It really depends on the article. Do these articles require 30-60 minutes or more of research? Are the instructions on how they are to be prepared extensive? Then no. If the material is something that you already know a lot about, mostly opinion, or can be literally about any non-sense or whatever you desire, then I would say it's a decent rate. To put it into perspective, I make about .01 per word from one of my clients. Each day I get handed a list of news topics, most celebrity gossip. Each article needs to be 100-150 words. It takes me 2-5 minutes to complete these types of assignments. I could easily write 400 words about bullying or about Magic the Gathering or about empathy, for example. For a topic like money market accounts, I would spend probably an hour researching them and still be confused, which would probably result in a crappy product. It'd take me quite some time.

yeah sure thats fair 400 words darn i do way more than that at a sports forum every day saying how i feel about certain games who wil win and why ! If I giot paid $2 for each post i wrote that would be about 20$ a day !

For me $2 for a 400 word article is absolutely a fair rate, I would jump on that would have finished the article and submitted before I come here to mylot to ask my friends about the rate, in order to be sure if to accept another. Most of us who are trying to make a great income with writing wouldn't mind if you could share the site with us or were you offered such job by an individual. Anyway best of luck with your writing.

Hi there Sri! I have to say that $2. is fair enough for a 400 words article. However, that depends on the efficiency and quality of the article and your performance. There are writers who have exceptional skills on writing and got paid more than that. Companies knows that and they will be straight forward to you if you deserve higher rate.

I think it is a good pay. Because if we know well and interested in the title, then it is not a difficult thing to write 400 words. And when we write 400 words article on Triond or other publishing sites, it will take a long time to earn 2$. And some articles that can't attract lots of views not earn at all. So i think to write one likes and interested short article to earn 2$ per time is a good job. If it is possible, could you help me join it? Thanks.

I think that 2$ for a minimum of 4oo words article is fair enough. You're doing great if you're earning that much from that site. Can I ask what the site is? I'm kind of interested in trying it out. I'm not a writer but maybe I could compose an appropriate answers to some of the questions that might be posted there.

I think $2 per 400 word articles is a pretty good rate. I get about a dollar an article for 400 words. It's pretty easy though. On some sites I get paid by the word and can make a little more, but in general 2 bucks an article isn't too bad.

Hello there! Definitely yes! Our group before had some article writings and we are given $1 for 300 words. You're lucky enough to be paid at $2 with just 400 words. Since writing is really not my expertise,writing 400 words is not easy for me,lol! Honestly,am a member of triond and I write 1 article in 3days,it's really not easy for me but I'm enjoying it much! See yah!

I think that's an okay rate. Maybe if you've been writing for them long enough, you can ask for a raise or something. Anyway, can you share this site with us so we can have an idea? I can honestly say I'd be happy with that, but I don't know if it's acceptable... what site is this anyway, I'd seriously love to do it... And yes 400 words is easy when you've been given a good topic to write about...

Are you referring to review stream? I think $2 is not much for 400 words. Should be $10 instead coz your writing and using your brain, what?
