Planning to buy a brand new laptop!!

Hi All, After a long long wait now its time to buy a Brand New Laptop for my self.. I'm very exited, visited so many show rooms and shops.. saw all the various designs and features which makes me confused... Need your help ... Please suggest me which one should i buy within the price range of $500-600 (Rs 25000-30000)approx...

another possibility is looking at refurbished laptops. my son got me a sony vaio last year and it's been great.

I did some homework before...so here is what I will suggest
Matte screen instead of a glossy one, so you don't have the annoying reflection
Screen size "12-13 inch" for good portability; also try to keep the weight below 4 lb.
Since you are just using it for web browsing document processing, I will not recommend you to pick a laptop with a fancy CPU (like Intel ICORE series). SU4100 or SU7300 should be a good choice (those low voltage processers will give you a long battery life)
2GB RAM at least.
My feeling is most likely you will be happy with Acer Aspire Timeline series or ASUS UL30 series

I can not recommend to buy a laptop brand which, since I do not know the function of the laptop for your job . due to certain jobs require special specifications such as for example an architect or people who work with 3D animation. I could not possibly recommend this work using a laptop with atom processor.

I don't need it for designing or some thing just a regular office work on internet.. thats it, I hope now you can configure something for me..
