I know some of the answers would be obvious, but I would like to get some input. What are hobbies associated with TV/Television? I don't call 'watching TV' as a hobby. Watching TV, no matter how less or more you watch it, seems to become part of life or necessity. So, to reiterate, what are hobbies associated with TV/Television?

I do have a tendency to believe TV for me can be considered a hobby. Because I follow several shows continually year after year so I suppose it is a hobby for me because outside of that I usually do not watch TV much.

I do have specific shows I like to watch, but I consider them as strong hobby.

Oops very often I type and and I realized later on, I left out an important word [lol]. The last comment should have been typed: "I do have specific shows I like to watch, but I don't consider watching them as strong hobby." I won't deny it as a hobby.

Posting on message boards or blogs about certain shows can be considered a hobby. There's also making and watching fan videos. People make icons or web banners and other visual elements to show on webpages based on their favorite shows. And fanfiction, either writing or reading, still remains a big hobby for people who watch tv.

You kind of leaning towards internet. I am hoping that more people would respond to this thread. It's been somewhat slowing down after more than a day.

Hello Garson I´ve almost 3 weeks without watching TV. My father raised me like this, so I prefer to do exercise, I love my PC, and I play music. When I can, I love to watch Dr. House!! I love him the best!! Blessings!... Dainy

Hello Dainy. House is also one of my favorite TV shows. He is somewhat a unique character. Just imagine there is a real doctor like him, which he would be ridiculed a lot, he would get into lots of trouble, or he would just become a loser. It's TV.

I don't know why, but whenever I have a conversation and it ends up relating to some tv show, there is always one person who has seen every episode and has it memorized and has to tell me how wrong I am when I bring it up. I mean every tv show, so if you consider by a tv series fanatic a hobby then I guess there's one for you.

I have read that watching a specific TV show is considered a hobby while I agree that watching TV in general is not. In other words, if one just turn the TV on without knowing what to watch is not a hobby. Watching the news everyday to me is not a hobby (it seems like part of life, but I'm not still not positive).

It's good one if you don't have anything to do. It would be a nice one on a weekend and also during holidays.
