I hate March

Does March have any spiritual significance for you? It is in the early part of the year and still part of the renewal cycle. Technically, I guess you could say it's the beginning of the renewal cycle. The plants are perking up, the animals are getting frisky, things are looking hopeful for the coming Spring and Summer. Intellectually, I know that. However, my id is a raging child screaming at the rain for keeping her in all day. I'll have to think of it as a beginning of something greater and not as the gods toying with humans.

Not really too much significance outside of more hope that the year will be okay regardless of what happens. It is still very cold here and we can get snow up to early May! With high cold wind chills.

Heat and humidity suck. That's true and I'm not especially looking forward to them either, but consistency is a good thing. At least in summer you can predict that each day will be hot and muggy. In March, all you can predict is that if you don't like the weather, wait, it'll change in five minutes. And if you do like the weather, wait, it will change in two minutes.

I know, I know. But, this year especially, the tug-of-war has really gotten on my nerves. I enjoy Spring and spending time out of doors, but this month has been playing with my head. Every time I plan on going outside for some activity or another some weather related mess shows up and spoils the plans. While I realize hating a month which is nothing more than an arbitrary label for a specified period of time is silly, I can't help it. It's icky out and someone must take the blame, even an arbitrary label.
