My son sure had a heck of a day today!

My son started out the day, going to school to find out that a friend of his had committed suicide. He shot and killed himself. He was 18 and was a new dad and was at home with his mom and baby. He asked his mom to watch the baby for a little while and in just a few minutes later, heard a gunshot. I cannot imagine, being the mother. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. My son had kind of lost touch with him since he started working 6 days a week on top of going to school. He had taken the day off work because he had sold his truck and needed to go to the BMV with the guy. As he was leaving school in our van, the oil light came on and the lifters started making an awful noise. He took it back to the school and got a ride home from someone there, so he would be home to meet this guy. The guy called and said it was going to be later on, before he could come. His dad was home, so they went back to get the van, which is about 40 minutes away. The guy shows up to get his truck and go to a notary, he has already given him 1/2 on the truck, stays about a half an hour, wants his money back and don't want the truck. By this time my son is so mad! He had other people call about the truck and told them it was sold, had lost a days work and still had his truck, which is not worth alot, as it don't want to run, and now he has to drive my wheelchair van to school, because the other van is tore up and they have to change the oil pump. It is sad when you have 4 vehicles sitting outside and only two will run. I was really hoping the guy would get the truck out of here. Guess my son can take it to the scrap yard this weekend. I hope tomorrow is better. Do you ever just feel like there are days when everything goes crazy?

hi thoroughrob yes some days thinds happen in threes so once the third bad thing is over you can smile and know the rest of the day will be normal again.Sad how some people willnot keep their' word. If the man had decided not to buy your son's van he should have come forward earlier and let him know so he co uld call someone who miht have wanted to buy it.oh come to think of it in a way I had a heck of a day to day too. I got up and I could barely stand to walk on my right leg with my twisted knee.It had been doing so much better. I had that horrid fall on Feb 15 was put in the hospital on the 16th and just got back on Mar 4th. Still having much pain so got pain pill after breakfast and hoped my son would come to visit me.nope he did not show up. after lunch half the lights went out and the big elevator would not work and ther small one just barely did. so we did get back to our room and the hall was dark but our room was light. I got in here and found my computer was working but I was kicked off the internet., so I reset the modem first then the router.,okay I got back on the net. I was just starting to Mylot and wham the lights all went off my computer stopped the lamp was off. myroomies radio was off her clock and wehad the lights off here for at least forty minutes.so they got back on and I had to once more reset modem and router. I now am pretty good a doing that and was back on the net.So we had our three bad things so now the rest of the evening has been lovely. hope tomorrow is not a crazy day.

I just hope his day went a little better today. It has been so crazy for him and he only has a couple of months until he graduates. Then at least he will be down to just working. He is gone from 7 in the morning until 8:30 at night. We don't get much time to talk, as he is in bed most nights before 9:30.

I am so sorry your son had such an awful day, and you as well. I know about the trouble with cars. I cannot get hubby to get rid of them, and he is always working on one or the other. We would be much better off financially with half as many vehicles.

I am so tired of the junk that is being brought home, and it is nothing but junk. My son has bought two vehicles since he totaled the one we gave him, and he did that in December. I just wish we could find something for him to drive, while he saved his money to get a better car.

How troubling. You just hang in there! Yes, sometimes all the bad things happen at once, but then sometimes there are days when everything good happens, too.

Sorry to hear that your son's friend committed such thing (so sad, leaving his mother and a baby) Yes,there was a time in my life that i felt everything is disorganized. Not just for a day but it takes time to re-arranged everything and everything went smooth. It feels like i do not know what/where to start to fixed things up,or should i mess to make a worst scenario. In this kind of situation,we must be more alert/smarter and think much before doing another step to make. have a great day

When it rain it pours! There are days when i thought God is punishing me because all my plans didn't go well and one bad luck would happen after another. I think when that day comes, we should stay calm and try to meditate or if you're a Christian try to pray and relax. I have done the praying before and i was so glad that after a few minutes i was calm and things just went perfectly well.

That takes the cake for most horrid day ever I would say. What is it with guys and cars/trucks? My friend has dozens stacked in rows at his farm and around the place as well. None of them work. I suggest he trade them into the junk man foe cash but he says nothing. - he says to get parts off them if needed. Some of these vehicles are nothing but rust. He paid $200 for a station wagon the same model as my car because my motor was almost gone. He was going to swap the motors. That was about 4 years ago. Now, both cars are off the road. This is just weird.

I'm sorry your son had such a terrible day. When that happens, I tell myself there's nowhere to go but up! If I understand it, he bought a vehicle from a guy, put half down and it broke down on him, right? I hope he gets his money back and if not, take the guy to court. There's no reason for that to happen, I'm sure the oil light has come on before the guy sold the vehicle and he was hoping it would stay quiet until the sale was over.
