Is it a mistake to fall in love with someone who doesn't love you back?

Can you really call it a mistake, falling in love with someone who doesn't love you back, can you control your feelings to whomever or whenever you like? How can you love someone who doesn't love you back?

I would say it's not a mistake, I know every single person out there is going through same thing. You cannot tell your heart to fall for someone, it just simply grows without even knowing it. I know it's hard to explain why but there's always a reason for it. Don't try to do anything. Just focus on being you. Love will find your way or another when time is right -- usually it's when you least expect it or when you're not even looking for it. Maybe this person will come around or maybe it will be someone else. Who knows. How can you love someone who doesn't love you back? Consult your heart, ask deeply you'll get the answer from there.

I think real love is when two people love, says that one always loves more. I think it difficult to love, if not love back, because then in love, it hurts. Each wants to be loved and if you do not get love, you hurt

No I would not say it is a mistake we sometimes can't help our hearts get involved. I would say the mistake would be to continue to force any love especially if it is clear that love will never be reciprocated.
It certainly will not be instant to be able to move on, however we have to try and allow time to heal our hearts.
