Best way I am using now a days is.. send it via
https://www.yousendit.com
which allows you to send files upto 2 GB freely.. and not so frequently :) you can be free trial user and send files with keys.
it means your file is safe from internet world and also the user you want to send can download directly from yousendit..
Good Luck..

Hi siliguri i was thinking that you can transfer i via email only by spiting the files and attaching one file at a time and send it to your friends it a length process but its a free one too
or you could upload it in a torrent files and send it to your friends but in this you need to seed the files so that the other user would get it

i dont know about sending it in an email but i do know that you can send files of any size over instant messenger i like msn or aol messenger the best to send files due to the fact that they will start where it was left off if you get disconnected .. as for sending thro email the only way you might be able to do it is using a program like winzip or similar to compress the size of the file but i dont know if it will compress enough to allow you to email your file

if your "files" means those are separate files, you can send it to email by doing it one by one because email usually only allowing up to 25mb. you can also try compressing it by using winzip. another option is that you can find sites that can hosts big files such as megaupload, rapidshare and others. im only not sure if they give service for free but try searching if they are.

Abtroy is correct. File hosts would be the best way and I believe a megaupload file can be as large as 1GIG so you wouldn't have to split it.

I think it's not possible. I guess you have to break down the files into smaller sizes and have them compressed using Winrar or Winzip before attaching them to emails. That way, it would allow you to send those emails a lot easier than what you were trying to do. Maybe you can try but I doubt if you would be able to send it at all. It might take some time I guess..
