Jazel, I don't like tooth-aches, but I am sure it is better than toothless and no toothache.
Do visit the dentist regularly. I am visiting mine at 5 month intervals instead of 6 months so to keep things in check. Even when I visit, there is pain because of deep gum cleaning, but at least it is only for about half an hour or so. Why endure longer with the toothache, quickly go see a dentist.

I am the queen of tooth aches, with a ungodly fear of dentist, so this is my advice to you. It is what I do to handle the pain, especially when the pain pills has wore off or not working.
Like one person said, salt water, BUT add a tad of white vinegar and it will take the pain away. Just gargle your mouth with it a couple of times and spit it out. Don't swallow it. This is the most effective for me.
Something else well worth trying is letting a aspirin dissolve on your tooth. Just a plain aspirin, put it on top of your tooth that is hurting and let it melt away on it, The pain killer in the aspirin will kill your tooth pain. It is not going to taste good at all , but it by far beats the pain from the tooth. That advice came from the dentist himself.
One more thing, if I had to guess your face is most likely swollen, so use ice packs. It will take down the swelling and actually numb it for a little while, giving you some relief.
Oh yeah, there is always clove oil. It is actually in what the dentist uses to numb your gums before a shot.
Your in my healing thoughts ... I know all too well what you must be going through !

Yes, it only takes the pain away for small lengths of time, but it at least gives you some relief until you can get to the dentist. There is no avoid going to the dentist, unfortunately.

Hi,
I can assure nobody like to have toothache. the pain is killing and
I hate it too.
Last week, I also have toothache, but mine is not that worst, lucky
I still manage to sleep at night and the next morning the pain was gone.
Now, I have to be very careful when bite food inside my mouth, I am using one
side of my back teeth for biting food, another side will have toothache if
I used them for biting the food.
I am so scared to visit a dentist.
I remembered when I was young, my father brought me to a dentist and
my teeth was all mended since lot of them are spoilt and have holes.
It was so pain when the dentist checked through and cleaned my teeth.
I won't visit dentist again,unless really necessary.

I could remember when i was a kid i used to visit the dentist often, we had this family dentist. She was amazing and i was not scared of her, since she was so gentle and she would even give me treats back then everytime i go for a visit. But sad to say she stopped her practice and became a house wife since her husband was also a pediatrician. So till now i can't find any good dentist like hers.

Hello there,
Poor Jazel well, i got a rotten teeth too. problem is it's a wisdom teeth that i've been avoiding to have it removed because of the either roots or bacteria. i have been taking so many pain relievers and anti bacterial medications. for now, it's not as painful when i put a cotton on the hole part of the teeth

Your lack of sleep led to this. Your pressure in your new business is adding to it. Well, if there is decay, just try to gargle some salt water. Sprinkle the pain reliever over the decay. If it does not work, you can go to my neighbor's wife and tell her that you are my girlfriend. She can just give you a strong punch, and your tooth will fall off.

Hi honey..
Hope you are feeling well now.My advice is not to lag much behind pain killers. They are actually not pain killers.Better to call them "killers".Do you know why? Because they will gradually make your kidneys unresponsive!!!
For tooth ache better I will tell you to go for brushing the teeth with salt instead of past. That also essential before going to bed.It doesnt matter even if you wont brush in the morning,But should brush the teeth with one pepper size of salt at night.Hope you will get allright soon
May God Bless You.

I have thankfully never had a toothache. I dont know how it feels but everyone I've heard who gets them says they are horrible. My friend just posted on facebook yesterday that she would rather give birth to a 15 lb baby then have the toothache she had so I can imagine it must be awful.

Nope I've never had one and I've never heard my mother and father or sister complain of one either. I'm guessing its not something that runs in my family. It does in my husbands family though they all have missing teeth on the top towards the back because they get absessed and need root canals done so they just pull the tooth instead. Luckily my ex had medicaid all the years we were together so he didnt have to have his teeth pulled he got them fixed. He used to get horrible absesses and would throw up the pain was so bad.

I'm so sorry that you are in such pain! I can't stand having a toothache. Fortunately I seldom get one. Is it from cavities or is there an abscess or is it something else? What is causing the swelling? If there is an infection causing it, are you on antibiotics? I hope you are feeling better soon!

don't eat spicy or something that can irritate it. you can take amoxicillin and ponstan for a week that can take the pain away.

Hi jazel, everybody hates toothache and I am also. Some alternative medicines could be helpful but I think if pain is severe you should not stop the pain killers.I know they have some side effects but you have know choice.I think with your doctors opinion you should take some antacids also to avoid acidity as pain killers has this common side effect. And I hope you will fill well in 1-2 days.Take care and have a nice day

Personally I think we have all been there, and in reality sometimes you just need to take a day off here and take care of yourself. I know the days that my Migraines are at their worst it can be harder to be able to concentrate and be able to post here on myLot as well. All I can say is I hope things are going better for you and you are able to post in here more soon.
