That's right boycotters, the Wisconsin Public Employees' own retirement system invests heavily into the very companies you are boycotting. So, are you willing to include the retirement funds? Will Firefighters in Madison take all their money out of their retirement funds? Will the unions quit supporting the funds?
We're talking heavy investments in Koch brothers companies folks! lol

Lol. Like other left wing boycotts they'll just half-a$s it. Remember that pathetic Arizona boycott by LA? They're still using traffic cams built, owned, and operated by Arizona companies. They still import energy from Arizona. The only thing they did was make it so they had to "vote" for exceptions to the boycott a few times before they just abandoned it entirely.

Several years ago a group of socially conscious people wanted the Fund to divest of companies doing business with South Africa. This became a vocal group but were told the mission of the Fund is to make money and if they want to invest in Socially Responsible Companies then use their own money and not the Funds.

I think this is just precious. Imagine all those good union members being true capitalists at heart!
I guess they want to invest in companies that make money for them, but they don't want those companies to have employees who contribute to political campaigns they don't support. Of course, the intelligent person - knowing that a company wants to increase profit and therefore, their dividends, and in protecting their viability see some political issues to be key to survival and profit - the intelligent person might realize that they're backing the wrong side.

Oh,what a hoot! Did you look at that list? There are lots of non-union companies. As you mentioned, there are some Koch industries. There are foreign companies on the list, companies which have closed up US operations and are now manufacturing in other countries, and even a Chinese bank.
So much for the "look for the union label" crowd. Busted.
