Guys, what do you think about Virtapay? I got this invite from another site to join Virtapay two days ago and I already got $47 from it virtual stash. They just require you log in everyday and check their blog for you to earn from their 'Early Bird' program. I was kind of interested on how things are gonna go with them :)

It's another 'Monopoly dollars' site like Paybox.me. You WON'T see anything like what your account says in REAL dollars. If a Virtapay 'dollar' is even worth even a hundredth of a cent when (and if) they 'go live', I would be very surprised! Usually such sites exist to build up a list of subscribers who they can then go on to sell stuff to.

Like the "points" you get for completing surveys. Or those vouchers we parents get on World book Day "This voucher is redeemable for £1 off any book included in the W H Smith book list. The redeemable cash value of this voucher is 0.001p." Me, I'm gonna carry on collecting. Got 0.50p worth already. Wait a minute ... damn ... expiry date was April 1997 ...

Actually VirtaPay is PayBox.me. They changed their name just this week, there are a couple of other myLot discussions about it. I'm a member of what was PayBox.me, now VirtaPay, and I don't really know what to say about it. I'm currently up to $242, I haven't logged in at all this week until just now and my balance has gone up steadily every day without me doing anything. There's no way to tell whether or not it's a scam because it hasn't launched yet. What it's meant to be is they are creating a whole new currency, separate from any nation. When it launches (if it launches) that $47 may be worth $47, it may be worth $200 or it may work out to be worth 5 cents, it's impossible to tell. But I mean, you could do what I've done, I'm not wasting time actually checking out their blog or voting on the debit card designs anymore, I'm just letting my balance increase. If it turns out to be a scam then I haven't wasted any time on it, and if it turns out to be real then my account will still have money in it to be transferred to this new currency. It seems scammy and I wouldn't spend too much of your precious time on it, but why not, they're not asking for money so it's no risk to you really.

To reinterpret an old saying. Screen rich, cash poor.

Hi, people! I just joined their site for fun. I, too, will be waiting to see if there's any value in their 'virtual' money. But, there's no real harm in trying as we're not wasting any money on it. So I'll be checking in to see how it goes. ;)
