what is on your bucket list?

The last couple of years we have been hearing more and more about a bucket list, this is the list of things you would like to do before you die,or as they say kick the bucket.
People have all kinds of things on their list, like visit Paris, make amends with an estranged family member or friends, learn how to drive, whatever it is very personal and individual.
Last year when my uncle died, an uncle I had not talked to in years, for no real good reason, we loved each other we just didn't communicate, I decided I was going to make sure to talk regularly to my family and friends and make sure they know that I love them, before I kick the bucket.
When I was younger I would have been able to fill up the bucket list with things I wanted to do, but now I find I am hard pressed to find things I want to do before I die. Because these things are supposed to be doable and you work towards doing them.
When I was younger I wanted my own home that never happened and I don't even want one anymore, I am too old for that now.
I wanted to learn to drive, I never did that either and it would happen now, my eyesight is not good enough.
So now at my age what is my bucket list?
I think I would have to say the only things on my bucket list is continue writing to the day I die. To somehow become better known in the writing world, and that is happening slowly for me, I am getting interviews and opportunities I have no had before.
What else besides writing could I add, there isn't much I want at my age. I would like to lose weight and I believe I am losing weight, my stomach has gone down a bit and I feel that my clothes are looser on me but I don't have a scale.
I would love to have another Himalayan cat, I miss my Seti so much. I have other cats but they are not Himalayan and I want a Himalayan we baby blue eyes just like Seti.
I might be set in my ways now, or as I grow older my needs are less than before, but I am basically happy with what I got, and I thank God for improving my life this last year and a half.
How about you what is on your bucket list? Please say what it is and why it is important to you. Like I did.

that is great but an awful short bucket list, a young person should about 10 or 12 things they would like to do before they die.

Like you, I do not have many things that I want. Perhaps to travel with my husband and relax. Destination is less important than company. I do not even want any more pets. I just want to be able to take good care of the ones I have. I want to lose weight, but the scale says I am not. I have begun to head toward that goal, as we have gotten a Y membership. I would like to remodel the house I have and repair it. That is doable, but I need someone to want it besides me. I have some items on hand that we have purchased to go that way.

It sounds like a good list. Mine includes skydiving (which I'll be doing in a couple of months), petting a flamingo (I know that sounds weird), going to NYC and seeing a play on Broadway, and to have a yard. Yes, a yard. If I have a yard I can have two dogs with no trouble. Right now in my apartment it is too hard for me personally to take care of two dogs. So I want a yard. Be it a house or a condo someday I want to have a yard of my own.

I have a Bucket List in my mind. So far I have not done any! Must of the stuff I want to do has to do with traveling.Like to Glacier National Park,Nashville, tennessee,Mount Rushmore,Crazy Horse Monument and ther Kentucky Horse Park. If I had the money I would go but I am terrible saving money so I don't know if any of my travel plans will happen! Sad to say but true! The other things are to own a horse agian. Go riding again. Other then that I really don't have any other thing else on my Bucket List. If I do I'll write it down!

the good thing about a bucket list is that there is no time frame, you just want to do these things before you die

I actually thought I had a bucket list but these days wonder if I lost it somewhere. Your discussions reminds me that I do have to get one accomplished, I am looking to be able to travel a bit, relax, more and work harder. Although not in that order but the working harder would me I may be able to actually get a list started.

i would like to learn how to drive too but because i have fibromyalgia and am on meds that suggest you dont drive while you are on them. i guess i would like to travel some; like to france because i would just like to see it and buy a house by the water because i spend as much time there as i can anyways.

yes but are these things doable because the whole idea for a bucket list is that you will get to do them before you die

My Bucket List:
.
.
.
Uh, I don't seem to have one.
A few years back when things were particularly dark, about the only thing that kept me from killing myself was that I wanted to finish a rather large and complicated cross-stitch picture. It's done now, and I haven't the urge to kick any buckets, either.

well I am glad that you had the motivation to finish that piece, now you need to sit down and think about what you want to do with the rest of your life.

I had at one time a long list of things I wanted to do before I pass on. Now I look at it and have hit a realistic high and I just either don't care anymore or realize there are things much more important. I had big dreams back before I got sick. Now I am happy if there is enough food for the month and such as that. The list just looks pretty silly for the most part now.
