Thats was some years ago. I live in South Carolina, the current prices for a movie is $10-10.50.
A lot more than what it use to be. But in my opinion, no matter how much the prices of a movie ticket goes up, people will still go to the movies.
I go typically for the experience, and just to get out of the house.
As the ticket prices goes up, the popcorn, and drink prices get higher as well.
With this the i still don't see the movies going out of business anytime at all soon.
Its a business decision to up the prices, and America knows that no matter how much they charge they will still get movier watchers to pay for movies.
Whats your opinion on this topic?

I agree. I would rather watch a big blockbuster on a big screen in a movie theater full with people than at home. So it is worth it to me!!
Great day to you as well. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, prices have gone up on movie tickets an its sad. But, you also have to consider that minimum wage has gone up - when that goes up everything does. Unfortunately thats how it is. When min wage goes up they have to up the price of tickets and food so they can pay the employees, the bills, and get movies to play on their screens. Maintenance, keeping up with other theaters...Its not fun that they up the prices but it is a necessity for them to stay in business.

Hi keshia wow glad to see you!
Oh gosh yes a family of four going to the movies these days, including the concession stand will virtually cost at least $90 bucks by me. Although many will still be going I do feel that either the concessions will suffer or many will go to matinees.
Some movies are so worth rushing to see. With the loss of so many jobs though I don't think the full family can afford it like before.

great to see you as well!
and i do agree! I'm sure a family trip to the movies would cost more than enough as compared to a couple years ago. $90 is a lot just to go to the movies.
I typically pay for myself and spend about $20 the movie ticket plus concession. Which is enough in it self for one person.
But anyway, thanks for sharing!!
