Onbux Changed their TOS as a way to stop members from filing a Paypal Dispute

I am an ex-Onbuxer. When they put my 8th and last payment under 'Pending' status, I filed a Paypal dispute after 48hours and got my investments back after 2 days. I used their TOS to fight Onbux and recover my money back. Specifically, I used TOS 6.2 that says: "6.2. All payments are instant. However for security reasons, account investigation and possible heavy traffic on the server, we can take up to 48 hours after your request to make the deposit in your payment processor of choice." Basing from that TOS alone, Onbux was VIOLATING ITS OWN TERMS. TOS is the same as a written contract. If a party violates it, then, that makes all the agreements null and void. That's the reason why Onbux had to give in when I demanded a refund. I have shared my story not just here in MyLot but also in PTC-I to which others followed suit. I even got comments in my blog that they were able to get their money back as well. Today, I went to the forum of onbux and found this disturbing news that Onbux changed TOS 6.2 and now it says: "6.2. All payments are instant. However, for security reasons, a possible heavy traffic on the server or investigation of the user's account, the payment may take 7 to 10 business days or more, due to the waiting list of manual payments." Tsk.. Tsk... Onbux strikes again! Members who have pending payments were not allowed to post in the forum, the response to a ticket a member submits is the automatic response of having your payment sent at the last of the queue, no new updates from the admin and now they changed their TOS 6.2 since that's the one used by us who filed a dispute against them. I pity those who have just invested their money, sooner or later their accounts will be set under pending status once they're close to the expiration of the allowed payment dispute. For those who have been waiting for their payments and is deciding to file a dispute, you can still use the old TOS 6.2 as the basis of your dispute. STRESS OUT that Onbux just changed their TOS to suit their needs and that the new TOS6.2 does not apply to cases prior to the change. For those whose payments were just set to 'pending' status today and onwards you may need to come up with another argument when you file a dispute. I've read a comment at PTC-I where the person automatically ESCALATED the case to Paypal and Paypal sided in his favor so that's another option for you as well. Onbux is trying its best to ward off disputes. They don't want to get their account limited that's why they don't have a choice but to refund payments made so for those who have pending payments still and are hoping for Onbux to be true their word, you may want to think about filing a dispute. You can wait until the last day of the allowed time if you want but just remember that once Onbux close out completely you won't have a chance anymore to get your money back. By the way, if by the end of the month Onbux still fails to pay members who have been waiting for their payments for more than a month and is unable to resolve the issues they're having, PTC-I will place the site in the list of SCAMS.

Nice post Yallit, this would really help other Onbux members who are having issues on the site. I admire you for helping them and sharing your knowledge in order for them to get what they really worked hard for. As to Onbux owner/admin, shame on them. This changes is definitely a turn off.

I'm not sure about this, but my first payment was instant. I'm normally not particular about how long I have to wait, but if it gets more than a week then I'd file a complain either through the support ticket, or on the forums. I think Onbux is just trying to protect itself. It still pays other members and I don't see it's future turning into a scam. It is still workable for standard members. If you're a big PPC investor it might affect you to a certain extent, but Onbux has been ongoing for many years, and it is certainly more reliable than other PPC websites that either just started, or uses buxhost scripts.

Well, my first 7 payments were instant too. The 8th payment that was pending was around $20. The 7th payment which was a cashout a week before the 8th payment was around $30. This all happened a month ago. I was just simply updating everyone about the new change of the TOS since the number of investors with pending payments is increasing. And let me just correct your information about Onbux. The site was launched June 9, 2010. It's barely a year old. There are only 3 bux sites that are above 1 year and are still paying: neobux, incrasebux and bux-matrix. Their support ticket has an automatic response. No matter what issue you submit, you get the same response of them putting your payment on the end of the queue. Forum? People who have pending payments are actually banned from the forum. They can't post at all. But I agree with you that it works for standard members who do not invest at all. But to one who has referrals like me, I feel that information like these should be shared as a warning to those who are thinking of investing further money to this site that is paying selectively.

I had always thought it was 2009. Perhaps I got confused about it, sorry about that. From what you said, there is no means of contacting Onbux admin whatsoever then? That is a little unreasonable then, and I'd change my impression of them. :( I agree with your intention to advise investors away from sites that pay selectively.

Have you reached ROI yet? If not, then, I hope that your next payment doesn't go under 'pending status'.

Hi, i would like to say thank you for your post. It shad some light on the situation. I just upgraded to Golden on ONbux on 14 of February , and because i trusted the site, and did not made the proper resaerch i possibly will lose all my investment. As you i had no problem cashing out weekly, so i recovered 304 but still i have 60$ wich will be gone. I would like to ask your help. How could i recover that money, i would be glad to even get back those 60 $, i don't want more. I asked a week ago my payment and i am still pending, and i thing i will be . So what is your advice for me in my situation? Because i asked my cashout after TOS change i can't file dispute based on that. i woul be really greatfull if you could give me some advice what to put in my dispute so i could get my money through Paypal. Thanks for your help. Regards Mabey

A visitor of my blog filed a Paypal dispute using the old TOS still. He filed the dispute a day after the new TOS was released. But he left a comment saying Onbux refunded his money. So, it seems like Onbux is trying to avoid having their Paypal account limited and that the TOS change could just be a ploy to scare those who would dare to file a dispute. You can also use their statements against them. Remember, that they mentioned that there were 62% who are whitelisted and that they should be receiving instant payments? Since you've been cashing out weekly it means you're a part of that 62% and therefore not to be subjected to the manual review. So, you can raise that question. You can even mention about your suspicion as to why they changed their TOS. You can say that they probably did it to delay members from filing a dispute or something like that. Just make sure that before you file a dispute, you should have at least attempted to contact them about the issue by submitting a ticket. You can check my blog and you'll find the contents of my Paypal dispute there. That may give you an idea on how you'll create your own dispute.

hi Yallit, Thank you very much for your information. I am a member onbux, but still the standard member. After reading your post I was not dare to invest in onbux. I do not think onbux would do like that. It seems everything slowly but surely will change into a SCAM.

You're welcome. I believe the best way for us to fight scam is to inform everyone about their suspicious activities. That way, we can prevent them from scamming more people.

Hi, Yallit, I'm glad that you have won. It's veri kind that you share all this information, I hope that more and more people will follow your step. I got my payment from onbux without problems, but it was only $4, I don't invest with those sites. You are right, they are all ponzi schemes and maybe one day all of them will collapse.

I had been paid by onbux yesterday i am a standard member there and till now have had no problems with onbux but i am too aware that i should not invest in onbux even a cent and neither should any one else as onbux is doing selective payment some member are paid and many are either suspended or on hold and now this new tos would make everyone stay away from onbux I used to be a good site but now facing lots of criticisms by every one i still hope that onbux would be back as it was 3 months before
