Ya I agree with you but not fully because you know the life is short so I want to believing on present not much save for future. I am more interested in eating so I spent the money for foods.

I can agree and also add that some should be saved for the near future in order to continue to eat.

Hi surekharathi, you may not save much for the future but you admit to save whatever small amount it may be and as you love to eat, you must have to save for your future eating.

The purpose of earning money is to pay the bills! To save for a rainy day! To spend on something you want or need! I save for ther furture, like for retirement. I rarely buy presents for anyone nowadays because people don't want any which is fine with me! Earing money keeps a person alive! palain and simple!

That is pretty much it! You have to have money to buy the things you need now and to pay your bills. But you should also have enough to be able to save up for the things that you need (or even want) in the future. Sometimes though, it can seem like no matter how much you have, you never have enough, LOL

That pretty much sums it up rather nicely. We are having the money that we need to live a comfortable life and for that we need to earn the money right now. However, we do need to put a little extra away. You never know what the future might bring and emergencies will strike at any time. Otherwise, they will not be emergencies to say the very least.
So yeah, a little money here, a little money there, eventually everything is going to save up. Don't live for the present completely, but you do need money right now to live a comfortable life. It is a necessary evil a lot of the time. However, in the future, the money not come as readily, so we need to put that money back and save it.

Hi megamatt, this is why I have mentioned that we earn money to spend for the present and save for the future.

I completely agree with you;unfortunately there are also moments when we earn money not to save for the future, but just to pay our debts and live at the limit of poverty, and only when we get rid of those debts which are a true burden for many of us we can look to the future with more optimism and save money for a better life.

The reason tell us to keep money for the future. But also we have to pay the invoices, we want to go in holiday. I try every month to save arround 10% for my earnings. This is not happend in every month. Usualy I invest this money in stock and in inssurances.

I certainly do agree with that. We have to put back a little for retirement. There are several options like IRA's, 401K's and going deep into the stocks and bonds. In my day we did saving bonds and payed alittle into them every two weeks. It went well. For me it halped me pay my expenses for a year when I wanted to play.

Yes, money is to be spent but on the same day, because we might not have any money to spend the next day. Of course you are right, what is money for, to spend and also save for future. Saving is a culture developed with the capitilistic society as you accumulate, you become rich. Wealth and rich is something about what you have and that is through savings.

absolutely, that is why banking, stocks, and mutual fund are necessary to build your portfolio, so that you can have a stable future and so as your kids and family.

I couldn't agree less. But no matter how we manage our financial assets, we should always remember that we earn money to live life to the fullest and not to to live life to earn money.

hi doctordidi oh yes spend for present but for food, utilities, rent or house payment and if we are lucky and a lot of us are not, have some to
put away for the future. do not be too glibe about this and we are in a depression and a lot of us do not even have job s and those wo do have enough to just pay for what we must without any life other. nice to say save for future but now hundreds here in the U S are out of work or just in part time jobs and saving a damn thing is not their worry just making ends meet is what a lot of us must do. sorry but so many discussions are not facing the facts that here in the US a lot of people are in money trouble due to no job or just a part time job.

I certainly do agree with you, even though it is hard to save money nowadays, since things cost so much more than they used to. I have been able to save up some money, however not all that much, as I have to sue the money for bills most of the time. I really like earning online, even though I really don't make all that much. It does add up over time though, and that is all that matters. I am certainly going to kep trying to earn more money, as I have property taxes coming up in may, and as of right now, I don't have the money to pay them. I am not going to give up looking for other ways to make money though, and hopefully,, when I do, it will be nough to live on. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi DoctorDidi,
Absolutely spending and saving should be a balance. One that we must prioritize accordingly. Spending on what is necessary is inevitable, while saving we can get some wants, so as long as it is factored on what is saved versus risking what monies is needed on the necessities.
