I'm fully convinced that the end of the World is far. On the other hand I'm convinced that we are destroying it. Tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, etc... have always existed. I don't believe that they are preannouncing the end of the World.

I think the end of the world is still far away in time, although it's true that the number of calamities and disasters seems to have increased lately.

yeah.. you got a point.. We really can't tell what will happen.. That's why we have to make the best out our lives in every minutes and in every hour of a day.

My dear take time to read the Bible so that you will know better. I believe all these things happening around and the real meaning of which can be found in the Bible. I would like to quote for your Matthew 24 verses 1 - 8 and I hope this will be helpful in erasing your confusion:
"1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows."
From these verses it is very clear that the end is not yet but all these are the beginning of sorrows. Tribulations have to come before the end of the world and surely this is starting now.

Indeed the end is the beginning of new and everlasting life to those who have rightly prepared.

What is happening is very scary and alarming! I am thinking about it too, got some questions too... I think God is waking us all up... and reminding us that NOT all is in our control... I have a 4 year old son, and I do hope that its not the end yet. I want him to experience the life too... Let us just pray for God's protection and forgiveness...
