Pay With A Tweet

For several months there has been a new system online that allows authors of entertainment/educational or any other kind of content created by themselves to market them without spending a single cent and still not give it away for free - but for the price of a tweet.
The system works the following way: you want for example an e-book but in order to download it you first need to distribute a promotional message about it on either Facebook or Twitter.
What do you think about this way of marketing stuff? Will most users do this if they would need to?

That's actually not my question. ^^ I know such services but I was NOT asking how to make money with Twitter!

I suppose it can be useful depending on what the offers are. If I wanted an offer of the site then a tweet would not be any trouble at all to get it.
Now if it comes with certain other conditions like being spammed and or risk of identity theft then I would thoroughly check the site out first and not after signing up.
