If there is only one god how can that make sense? Wouldn't it make more sense for there to be more then one god so they can do different task. I mean it takes a group of people just to maintain a single building let alone the whole universe. The universe is really big so wouldn't it make sense that there are many gods controlling each sector of the universe?

Many people believe many things. I personally believe there is only one GOD but would not be surprised if there were more than one. After all the Greeks believe there are many GODS. What if GOD gives power to some of his angels and that is why we have different seasons, different catastrophies, different languages and lifestyles, etc? One day we will find out the truth!

Well, you personally believe that there is one god, and find no wonder if there were more than one god. think if you started a company, you will be the Managing Director, and the managing director is one, other working under you, can't be managing director. so simple god is one and no one like god.

You know a company has more then one managing director. It takes a lot of people just to transform materials into products. Think of how many gods it took to create the universe. Do you realize how big the universe is?

I believe that there is only one God who can perform all the wonders of the earth. What is many are the angels. Angels are not gods and are lesser than God. God created them as well as He created man. To fully know what we believe of, please refer on this link and enjoy reading. . . http://lsm.org/lsm-statement-faith.html

there are many Polytheists in the world, and there have been many very large and long lasting Polytheistic cultures throughough history, like the Romans, ancient Greeks and Egyptians. there are many modern day followers of Polytheistic religions too. I personally know quite a few followers of the Norse Gods. who are in my experience some of the most honourable people I know, and I would trust them with my life. after learning of the nine noble virtues in Asatru, I have tried to incorporate them into my own life, because they are good things to aspire to, and make you a better person. I am, in a sense, Polytheistic myself, but not with a Pantheon of Deities with different roles and purposes. I have both a Goddess and a God. in the Pagan community we often refer to "hard" Polytheists and "soft" Polytheists. there are those who beleive that every deity is distinct and separate from another, and those that beleive that different but similar deities are faces of the same deity, or that all deities are faces of one universal power or a Polar couple of Goddess and God. I wouldn't class myself in either of those as a Polytheist. there is the term Duotheist you see sometimes, which is sometimes used to describe those beleiving in a Goddess and God. I don't really like the term though. it seems too absolute. I beleive in the creative forces of the Universe, manifest in a Goddess and a God in constant and everlasting ebb and flow with the other.

Hi. spiderlizard22. No. There is only one living God. God can do everything that multiple persons can do. He is a powerful God that is 100% unity!

Why do you think there is only one god as oppose to multiple gods? In life there is not one of anything.
