My daughter said that they were informed that they will have two different sets of graduation . One is the College graduation and the other one is the university graduation.
As far as I can remember when I graduated, we only have one. In the morning we have the baccalaureate mass and in the afternoon , our graduation – for all colleges .
So I am wondering, what could be the difference between the two? My daughter says she will ask the Admin about it after next week, because now she is so busy studying for their exams. But I want to know now.
Anybody here please know what’s their difference?

At my university there are different colleges that students are afflicted with. Each individual have students that are the same group of people who all lived in the same dormitories, eat at the same dining hall and attended mostly the same classes. At my university, there is only one graduation and the students graduate together by college but maybe at your daughter's university, there are two separate ceremonies.

That's what i am wondering of.
Two graduations ? And to think that for their college graduation , they have to wear a Filipiniana dress and in the university graduation , a semi-formal wear. And to think that they will wear a toga over it.
It's really a lot of expenses on the parents' part. But just the same, what can we do but comply so that our daughter will enjoy it.

I also went to a university.
And a university is composed of different colleges. Sometimes the college would have a different ceremony from the university. I guess this is what your daughter meant by having two graduation ceremonies.

Yes, i think so too. She said she will inquire about it next week when they are done with their exams.
So, do the parents have participation in the college graduation. Do they go to the stage to pin or whatever if their daughter or son is a cumlaude or for any honor?
We just would like to be prepared.
