My pink and black nails - This is a design I did recently over my natural nails. Soooo pretty :)
I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but I'll just explain how I do it. Just for a basic tips with french manicure. - Buff over the top of your nail gently with a nail buffer - Make sure the tip fits properly then glue it on, press down on the tip where its glued as it dries (about 30-40 secs) - Clip and file the edge of the tip to the length that you want. - Buff over the tip now, so the solution will stick to it. - Now get your liquid, clear, pink and white powders. - Dip your builder brush into the liquid, brush off the excess then into the white (only wipe it slightly into the white to pick up the right amoumt). The solution will end up a little gloopy and shouldnt drip easily. - put this dollop of white straight onto the edge of the tip and build downwards and outwards to carefully distribute over the tip. Use the brush to mould the shape properly around the 'smile line' and at the edges of the tip. - Now do the same with the clear, straight over the tip. Mould and shape again, only over the white that you've just done. - Now mix the pink and add this to the lower part of your nail. Avoid the cuticles. There should be a small margin around the nail bed. If you dont do this, you'll end up with lifting. - You now need to get either an electric nail file or a manual. I use an electric one, but a normal file works just fine. - File all over the acrylic now. Dont file off too much, but this is how you get the smooth finish. Try to do it evenly, and file all around the edges to get any bits around the tip that arent quite perfect. Once you've done that, take a UV gel setter if you have a UV lamp, or just use clear varnish and give yourself a nice topcoat to get that shine on. And that should be it. If you're still struggling, I suggest that you go on youtube and take a look on there. Theres loads of really helpful tutorials to watch. If you still cant do it after that, and you REALLY want the acrylics, I think you should go to the salon and get them to do it. Watch the professionals and try to copy how they do it.

Another tip then, to help with the mixture is when you have dipped your brush in the liquid, wipe it along the edge of your dappen dish. What you want to do is slowly press against the edge from the handle end of the brush to half way down so you end up with a little dollop of liquid trapped in the middle of the brush. If you see any bubbles come out, dip back in the liquid and repeat until there are no bubbles. After you dip into the powder make sure that you wait a few seconds for the blob of mixed acrylic to get that glassy look before you put it on your naiil. Good luck and happy acrylic-ing. :)
