Whom India wants to face in QuarterFinals "Srilanka" or "Newzeland"??

From the current standings it seems India is going to face either of this two teams,In my opinion India will like to face Newzeland for a easy passage to semifinal,since facing srilanka in subcontinent is even chances for both the team,moreover with malinga and muralitharan in their ranks and a good batting order
they can pose a real threat to the Indian proceding,On the other hand Newzealand recently has lost a series against India,so that will give us a mental edge over them

Even if we won the match against west indies, india will not able to reach first, so there is no question about india reaching top, it is south africa who is going to meet newzealand in the quarter, india will meet either srilanka or aussies.

Now India's choices are Sri Lanka or Australia. It has been confirmed that NewZealand will finish bottom of group A while South Africa as the top team will face them. Pakistan has finished the top of the group A and will most probably face England or West Indies depending on today's results. For India it is going to be between Sri Lanka or Australia. So it is going to get tough for India now.

It is not a matter that whom we are going to meet.It is how we are going to play.Whoever it may be India has to win that match as that one is a knock out one.So India has perform well in each ans every department of the game.What ever it may be India have to win the Quarter Finals.Then only we can think about the world cup.

Hi sriganesh,
It seems you are not aware of the latest standings. India is going to meet either Sri Lanka or Australia who have slipped to third position after loosing to Pakistan. If India wins tomorrow they will stand second and meet Australia and if they loose loose they will come stand third and meet second placed Sri Lanka unless they loose very badly to stand last and in that case they will meet Pakistan. I think it is immaterial at this stage of the game whom you meet, all are equally strong. If you play well you can beat anybody and that should be mental spirit of the players.

Well I wish India meet Australia instead of Sri Lanka so our chances to bring world cup in subcontinent will be much higher. In my opinion India can beat Australia easily if they made an good total or if they lucky enough to chase an total because of their Best batting strength.
Quarter Finals are always tough because they have been played in between good teams always. So now I think its useless to say who is in front of you because you must win to get closer to the cup. Believe on you team and hope for the good. cheers
