AT last.. the winning run in the World Cup for Australia is over.. It's the Pakistan team who have done it.. and it's because they played as an unit..
After 34 matches the Ausies have been bitten , and it really took some work to get this result..
Pakistan Bowled really well specially Umar Gull and Razzaq.. Pakistan showed that they are a serious contender of the world cup..

Hi soumya,
By the time the Bangladesh vs South Africa match was over I changed the Chanel and saw Australia sweating under the nose. Pakistan was not in the mood to let the OZ build a hill. And they succeeded too.
The expectation of Australia to enter the Quarters without losing any league games got shattered. Pakistan's attitude today was very positive and it seemed they would not let the opponent score runs.

I feel sorry for Bangladesh even I pray'd for their success because I wanted all 4 teams in the quarter final but...Well maybe in the next world cup.

Yes, they were too excited that even if they were defeated in the quarter finals they would not have been unhappy.

Yes you are right. I think they fall in front of an good team but their total was too low. It was pressure which they were unable to handle even they have some very talented players. I wish this time the will be safe from the public reaction who was get made in previous match.

Finally and thankfully it is over. Now will it also mean that their run of winning world cups will also be over in this world cup. We will need to wait and see. If we win our match against the windies today, then we have the chance to throw the Aussie World cup winning streak out as well!!
Cheers!

Yes at last Australia is defeated in world cup match. This defeat ended their 34 match winning streak. And a team to do it is the same which last defeated them 34 match before. It was a great team effort from Pakistan to win a low scoring match. At 98 for 4 and all cream of the batting line up back to the pavilion, Australia smelled the victory but Umar Akamal and veteran Abdul Razak saw the team home. Brett lee performed exceptionally well taking 4 of the six wickets those fell. It is a pity Ponting could not utilize his full quota of overs.

Today Pakistani Team was fully in the mood of winning and they showed good character in every department of the game. Pakistan has very good combination of youth and experienced which is helping them. This beautiful combination created an competition among them which is very very good sign for the team and for the whole nation. I wish the way youngsters took their responsibility seniors will do the same.
