Just changed the memory on my laptop.

Earlier today, somehow I lost all the contacts from my messenger list. I have no idea how that happened, but everyone disappeared. They came back once I changed the memory on it. I had to change the memory on this laptop, I know it was running slow on 512mb and wanted the 1 gig I had in the other laptop, knowing that it would run better. So that's what I did. Everything is running better now thanks to the upgrade. Now that this is complete, I can work on some other things before I sell the old laptop to my roommate, who offered to buy it. I'm not sure what to charge him for it, but I have to think about a reasonable cost for it, so I don't overcharge, but make a little money off of it. Next item on my list is a cooling pad, this laptop doesn't run as hot as the old one does, but I don't want to leave it too long, I really don't need this one overheating like the old one does.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I guess I'll never know.

hi, machines also need to upgrade, in order to make it fast or to use it well.even me when i had my first computer, i always upgrade it, in memory, video card and even the processor and motherboard. because there are some application and software that need to run the application or software and even games.

I am impressed that you can change out your memory yourself and I am glad that solved some of your problems. I would probably charge him at least $100

I'm glad you were able to get that all done. Does your roommate even have funds to buy it off you? I thought he had trouble paying his share of the rent (or am I thinking of someone else?). I don't know what would be a reasonable price for it. I know you can buy a new one at Walmart for around $350 so that might be unreasonable. Hopefully it all works out! Have a great weekend!

Memory issues may not have caused that contacts, it might be yahoo server problem. Check prices on online stores for laptop like yours, you will get idea of what to charge him. cooling pad is not necessary, just place laptop is good position & get it serviced once in six months. if your hard time gamer then its recommended to using cooling pad.

I've found several cooling pads on Ebay that are USB powered for under $10. When I found out how inexpensive they are, I bought two! You don't really have to worry about the quality of the cooler as long as it allows your laptop to bring in air through its fans. Any cooler with a couple of fans will do the job. If you need any suggestions as far as coolers or more memory, just let me know!
