Life is so precious, a sad tale.

I've been "friends" with a little girl and her mother on Facebook for a few weeks after I read about her plight from another friend.
14 month old Lily was the victim of shaken baby syndrome, done by her father in May. I don't know many of the details though of this case.
However, in that short time, this little fighter had gone through a lot.
She wasn't expected to live, but she did, and survived to live another day. But she had her ups and downs, as was extremely apparent in the last couple of weeks since she was brought home from the hospital.
Lily, after a long fight, died this morning. She knew that she was loved by all around her, the prayers for her were quite strong.
Her mother has gone through so much with her little girl, and I'm praying for her as well.
Shaken baby syndrome is a serious condition, not to be taken lightly, nor is the aftermath suffered by all involved.
Life is so precious, we should all take care of our children and never hurt them like this guy did.
I'm saddened by this news, although it was known that she wouldn't live very long. This mother was blessed with Lily's presence for 14 months, not a long time for her, but she was blessed nonetheless.
My heart aches for her, but I know that Lily isn't suffering anymore. May she rest in peace now.

That is such a precious story. It really goes to show that life is really short and we don't get long on this earth to enjoy the good things that life can offer. We should take every second of every day to be grateful for the gifts we receive... so sad this though. RIP Lily...

It saddens me that her father did that to her, he ended her life without even thinking about it.

That is a sad tale. I don't know why people don't think before they act when dealing with a baby. It sounds like she survived for several months with the condition. I think that people who do this kind of thing should be subjected to the strongest type of punishment allowed by law. Although it took months for the child to die, the father should still be charged with murder or something of the sort because essentially, it was his actions that killed her. I hope her mother is able to find peace now.
