Religion the cause of most wars?

They say that religion is the cause of most wars and conflict. Whilst on one hand I can see why, don't we really think that money plays the major factor in this?? (be it in the form of trade or commodity (such as oil etc..))... I'm torn... because I think wars are started through money but rapidly become a cultural and religious entanglement... What do you think??

i think it has contributed to it but im sure its not the biggest factor there. Its the greed for power. Its prestige and power that they are after to. If they have it then they will be famous and bowed down by others. So the rest of other factors is just an additional thing.

I think there is a bit of both, religion, money, oil when you would think how much nicer it would be with all the disasters going on we would just all help each other...sad really.
