I remember having a talk with my friend about criminals who abuse human rights in so many ways and at the same time being protected by it. I remembered it when I saw news on two criminal cases. 1. There was a case of 3 Filipino drug mules who got caught in China and is bound to be executed. And because of human rights, and foolish hive-mind of the Filipinos. The gov't had to send an escort to plea with the Chinese to stop the execution and hand over the drug mules to the Phil Govt. 2. There was a robber who got beaten up pretty badly and got hit by three cars. Two different cases, and two different ways of how things got handled. Back to the conversation me and my friend had about people abusing human rights and using it to protect themselves. My friend had a relative, that relative had a friend whose life was going to ruin, and so, that guy decided to do an act of crime (namely he molested his neighbor's daughter or something) so that he'll be sent to prison, gain food and shelter. And... His plan did work. He got to have his way with the girl he likes, then he got sent to prison. I don't really know the status of that person now. But that is how it went. He used the human rights thing to his advantage while at the same time he abused another person's human rights. My point here is, once someone abuses human rights, that person should not be given human rights. They acted like animals or even lower and thus they should not be treated like humans. Same goes with the Filipino drug mules. Drug mules do a lot of damage to society and they contribute to drug lord. No acts of mercy should be given to these guys. And even if these scum are imprisoned, they are still getting our money. Tax money goes to prison maintenance and their food and all. Now about the hive-mind. This is another thing that is wrong with the world. For example, about the three Filipino drug mules. Because they were Filipino, the govt had to send envoys to China to plea on handing them over to the Phil govt instead of letting the Chinese execute them. All because they were Filipino. Another case of the hive-mind, those nationalistic people who supports those, not because of talent but because of the blood. I remember seeing an article about Pussycat Dolls (a girl band) that says "One reason that makes this concert special is because, Nicole is half Filipino". Which I find very very foolish, blood or race has nothing to do with the talent. The world is uniting, and being very stuck to your country is just going to give a bad name for your own country and even give you enemies. Another case of foolish hive-mind attitude, remember in Desperate HouseWives, there was a scene there where the girl didn't want doctors with licence from the Phil. The Filipinos went crazy there and even threatened for an apology. But truth is, there really are a lot of fake licence here in the Phil. In the University Belt itself, you can see a whole lot of forged documents and diplomas. Of course people would be cautious of this and eventually mention it. Point is, the hive-mind of the people should be stopped. Love for the country is okay. But losing individuality for the country is just plain idiotic, and in a way it seems close to incest.
