My Dad just got fired in his job without any good reason. As a daughter its so hard for me. My Dad worked in that company for almost 4 years now, we've been there from the start. In fact my dad was the very first employee and help them make that company grow.. The thing that pissed me off is that they put GOOD BYE on Dad's payroll. That's a big ARGHHH! Will I just forgive this and let go?

I believe you can go and seek advice so that you will know why your dad was fired but just be careful, your dad might know that truth, companies do not just fire without any reason.

Most company`s would throw any employee to the curb without fail. It`s just how it is. 4 years of experience in a company is good. I`m sure he can apply to another company. Hope everything goes well. As for your question, I guess dont take it personal. Most companys dont care about their employees. I mean with the "Goodbye" on the payroll. Real low.

Sorry to hear your Dad lost his job. This is a big problem for many in many companies all over the world. I ask that you forgive and let go because he will need strength too. He has not had to seek for employment in four years and may have a hard time. So it is best you try really hard to forgive and let go, so that you can be strong for him and cheer him up on some days. Best of luck to you and your Dad and I hope he can get right back and get a better job. Sometimes one door closes and another one opens.

Dear they are terrible, the devil, horrible human beings but you have to let go not for them, they are totally wrong, they don't have a heart and if there's karma in this world they will learn the lesson. But for you forgive, try to by repeating, only you will suffer. But I can imagine how horrible this is. There are people that doesn't have gratittude.

Sorry to hear about your father. In the corporate world, no one is indispensable. Anyone can replace you anytime. So we shouldn't be complacent. Your father can sue the company specially if he was terminated without just cause. But it seems your father doesn't want to, so I guess you just have to let go. I read you have plans of putting up your company. I think that is a very good option. My husband told me "Nobody gets rich with just being employed". The way to being rich is being your own boss. I hope you and your father's success.

You know Edds as a daughter, the only thing we can do is to help them emotionally. We can't bring that job back. Just tell your father that you will support him in all of his endeavors and reaffirm him of that support.

Welcome edds17.. I know your feeling, we want to help them as much as we could but that's all we can do. Being an asset in your family rather than a liability is a great help. Have an optimistic attitude.

Well unfortunately in this Economy no matter where you work at, nothing is guaranteed. Sometimes they have to do it for the sake of the company in order to be able to make ends meet, and other times it is never really known why. All I can say is that when a person does lose a job it can be a hard thing to handle and a learning process as well. All I can say is you need to be strong and supportive for your dad in times like this, and know something better will come along in time.

hello eds, There is a labor code that a company can't just fired a regular employee without reasonable reason. Why don't you seek proper/legal advice on this matter. That's the best thing to do. I feel sorry for you,i am also a daughter and i know how does it feel. Just give him support ,that's what he needs right this time. happy week

What happened? May be there are reasons why your Dad was fired from that company. If not and the reason why he was fired was because of personal issues, well that's foul. Your dad has the right to file a a complaint against that company as an employee. I think he should consult a counsel or talk to somebody whom he will know can help in the situation. For the meantime, as a family, you should support him emotionally. This is the time where he needed most the support of his family.

What was the reason that they fired your dad. 4 years is long time enough and suddenly they fire one employee who has in that company since it was born? It seems a little fishy to me. Maybe you should find out what really made them fire your dad. They wouldn't want to lose such a valuable employee because he would know almost everything about that company right? If they don't answer to you then maybe you could ask your dad to join a rival company or somewhat same one again. Cheers!

Hi raviteja, Its really something fishy right? I don't know what with them! My dad was their very first employee when they started.. About your opinion, my dad is a chemist.. We will not join any rival company.. We will build our own little company.. I just want to make them realize that they lost one valuable treasure! And that is my Dad.

as time goes by people learn to forgive but not so sure about forgetting this incident everything that happened has its own purpose, if you think your dad is capable of doing great jobs then maybe he can find another work and that company will be pissed of to fired your dad, don't let anything bad happened to ruin your mood of life.... stand up and go on with your life
