Home-Made: Latest Fad, or Dying Art?

I've spent the last few years becoming steadily more interested in sewing, crochet, embroidery, and various other types of crafting. It seems to me that such home-made art forms are making a bit of a comeback, which I can only think is good news - but I'm not sure if others share the same perception.
Are home-made, DIY, one-of-a-kind creations becoming more popular, or am I just biased?

I think home made items shouldn't just be fad.they should be permanent.home made items can save more money than buying store-made crafts.adding a personal touch to items will make you proud.also,it exercise creativity and originality thinking.

I believe home-made art forms should be making a comeback. After all a home-made gift is much more meaningful than an item bought. It means the giver put great thought and valuable time into creating this special present. I believe more people would be crafting if given the time to do so. I know I do when I have the time. My grandkids love homemade gifts I make them.
