What do you think about Little Red Riding Hood?

it's more in the goth tradition of Twilight. we always imagine little red riding hood as a sweet girl romping around the woods to bring a care package to her sick grandmother but not on this film. it depicts a ladylike riding hood flirting around with the big bad wolf. very much like the Bella-Edward affair. but i would love to see it as it is a refreshing twist from the traditional storybook tale we all loved.

I haven't seen the new film, but the original fairytale is a lot darker and more interesting than people give it credit for. it's overflowing with symbolism and is quite dark. one of my favourite adaptations ever is The Company of Wolves. absolutely beautiful version of the story, where it really focuses on the symbolism of a young girls awakening sexuality. the most obvious symbol being the red cloak. it doesn't take a genius to work that symbol out. at one point, Rosalies mother says to her, when being questioned about "the beast in men" "if there is a beast in man, it meets it's match in woman" her mother seems to understand and relate to her daughters growing feelings, while her father is afraid and her grandmother full of warnings. Little girls, this seems to say, Never stop upon your way. Never trust a stranger-friend; No one knows how it will end. As you’re pretty, so be wise; Wolves may lurk in every guise. Handsome they may be, and kind, Gay, or charming never mind! Now, as then, ‘tis simple truth— Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth!

I have seen this trailer for this movie and it alone sparked my interest. It certainly put a new and different spin on the fairytale that most of us have grown up with. i think it could even be bigger than Twilight ever was!

This is not the typical little red riding hood which most people knows. The thriller I saw in the tv is scary and makes me pause for a while and react..lol..I said maybe the wolf is superb in this story.. I will try to watch it tho if given a chance but not a must see for me..hehe

The movie was twisted and good.It is kinda like Twilight because of the characters though.No, it is not scary but a little bit dark.

I shouldn't even be reading this discussion yet because I plan to go see it today to base an opinion yet.

im not sure if this a good movie or not..but i will see it for sure. its seems more scary than twilight which is a romance type of movie.. and that actress is the one with Megan fox in Jennifers Body.. hope its a good mvie..
