i don't know when it started people began to sell electrical books online, I'm not fancy that really ! remember the first book i bought from a local store covered with blue leather binding, on the first page i wrote "MIne xc" it looked as though it have magic in it , i couldn't help show it around with my classmate, cause that is what i saving for several months, things change today, just in one minute by clicks for a couple of times , then you can read whenever i open it the yellowish edges of each page as though telling me how old is she , i can read it again read the notes of my child age , touch it with my finger tips , i always plunged into the past ,recapture those years accompany with my first book.

I love to read books as well, however i can see the ease and wonder that comes with electronic books or E-books . To me electronic books save me the hassle of going to the store and having to find the book, the wait in a line and check out. I can order what I need and get it right then as easy as that. I also like the lower prices that come with e-books. The cost of certain books really confuses me. I just saw a book I really wanted to read and it was a little over $100! Now I know that's pretty dramatic, and no it wasn't a textbook for school, but the fact that one could download an e-book for a fraction of the price really speaks to me. If I were to choose one thing besides price that really screamed at my attention I would go with portability. The thing is smaller than an ipad, in some cases it is an ipad, and its lightweight and easy to carry. Much better than lugging around a huge 600 page book or worse 2 of them. The fact that they can store numerous books at once is also amazing because I can now download all my books and have no reason for a bookshelf, or two. Books however are the real deal. They have essence they have volume and they are enjoyable to read without the harsh lighting of the L.E.D screens that come on most, if not all, of them. I like to hold a book and the scent of an old book for some reason just makes the experience much more enjoyable. If I were to compare the experience of the two, I would say the E-book is a cold stone wall and the book is a cozy cottage. Books also offer their bragging rights, which really isn't important but I have to say it. It kinda says a few things about you. 1) Your smart and probably know more than I do 2) Your dumb just trying to look smart I'm just kidding but regardless of how we avoid the subject one can't deny that books make people's perception of the reader much different, they are now a character, the person who reads books, not just some random person. Thanks for posting about this, although I love E-books, I see your point and would gladly purchase a book i love as a hardcover over an e-book. I did that with twilight, but that's a story for another time!

Of course! I loved this discussion it gave me a lot to think about. I do love sitting down with a good book to read. It's such a great way to just get away from it all and enjoy another life if even for a moment

I hate the concept of reading a good story off one of those gadgets. I love the feel and smell of books; I love to see them sit in rows on my bookcase. The first book I bought once I started buying voluntarliy when I left High School was Crime and Punishment and I still have the tattered copy 35 years later and I love it.
