If someone files a paypal dispute against you but your paypal account is empty what happens? Also you have no credit cards or bank account linked to your paypal account. Will paypal terminate your account or wait till money gets added to your account?

I think you probably need a bank account connected with Paypal. I had a dispute filed against me one time. I sold a brand new set of DVDs for a TV mini-series to someone who claimed they did not play. I offered to pay him back but first told him to ship the set back to me. He refused and filed a claim with E-Bay saying that I sold him counterfeit DVDs. Paypal eventually paid him back and he sent the set back to me. I was very tempted to threaten him with a lawsuit for slandering me, espcially when I tried the DVDs in two different DVD players (including a cheap portable one) and they played with no problem. The set was issued in Japan and had Japanese and English writing on the box but they stil played, in English, when I started them. Another thing that made me mad was now, if I want to sell the set again, its a used set which would bring me less than half what they sold for before.

I didn't think it was possible to have a paypal account without at least a bank account card attached to it. I have no idea how it works in this situation but when someone took over £100 from mine which I hadn't authorised although I had a previous transaction to them paypal paid back this amount into my account immediately. I would also say it also depends on whether their dispute is just of not as to what Paypal do. Sorry cannot be of anymore help here. huggles. Ellie :D
