i used to worked in a call center. I was an online technician for networking devices for 2 years and 6 months. The earning was quite good by the long term effect on my health is something i truly regret. I was hospitalized thrice for asthmatic bronchitis and it had been recurring since then. :( I used to worked 6months straight on graveyard shift. My daughter was 2 years old when I started and my husband was still working here. So we both have to earn to support our family. So i endured the boredom of working in the call center industry. It was more of a job, than a career. For that 3 months, I do the same thing, it was really a routine and I a scripted job. I have to say I learned from it though, but what really saddened me is the thought that i my health suffered. How about you, do you enjoy working as a call center agent?

I used to be a call center agent under an account for troubleshooting internet connection issues. At first, it was rewarding especially when working with a team. I've met really good people and I had someone to talk to or share something with. But as the months passed, I started losing appetite and all I wanted to after my shift is to sleep. Unfortunately, it gave my gastritis and I was having recurring cough and sore throat. Unlike you, I only served 5 months as a call center agent. The job had its perks but when you think of it, you tend to sacrifice a lot- your health, family time, social life and even a time for yourself.

i'm not a call center agent though i've heard many stories about it, call center pays good amount of money but in return the most important thing is you have to be happy with your work, in your case it's good that you finally quited you job cause it broke your health and it makes you real sad.
