I am not ok with living life like that... though Gita and other holy books say so... I love, I hate, I am happy, and I am sad... I dont think I can be happy, if I dont know what it is to be sad.. I think we need to experience everything... before we reach our old age, when such things become trivial, and our other thoughts take over... we also need to experience such feelings so that we dont become judgmental..but that is my opinion...:) You are welcome to your life... :)

My life somehow does not seize to amaze me, it is to the point that I simply take what comes. I truly believe that I am very numb with feelings in my life. **sigh!

Cycle of life! Amazing how one day we reflect back and we say, huh where did it all go. Sometimes when we are younger we do not think how fast like goes. I feel you are becoming numb. Numb feelings mean you are so unhappy that no matter what nothing will make you happy or sad anymore. Almost like nothing really matters.
This is a very difficult feeling and I recognize it well. It is my way of not continuing to think anymore on how bad things really are.
I had to grow up really fast because I did not have parents to raise me and it was too hard to be a child when there was so much unhappiness in my life. Often times I look back and say to myself that I feel like I have been floating in life.

hello indafth,
Life is short.
It is your choice if you want to live that way.
You can make your life wonderful, just start thinking on how you can do it.
Do not let each day gloom your mood, smile and be happy.
Fell the real essence of the word happiness.
That is your life,do not let others dictate you on what to do with it.
Go out...see the world outside and enjoy the rest of it.

life is beautiful indahfth, sometimes we are just drowned of our situations in life, and feel that our life is just like this, when in fact you can chose to live life differently.Ofcourse trials are part of our existence but it is up to us how to handle it.

So you feel numb and as if you are walking through another demension of life? If you find no joy, feel numb and unalive why not change things? I suppose you couldn't leave your husband and try to find other fare. Are you working or just him? He is the kind of the mount I guess--? Sad. I feel badly for you and your situation. Only you can change it though.

Removing one's self from the world is not a bad thing, if it enables you to obtain your goals. However removing your self as a protection is not a good thing. Until you face your fears and live with them you cannot grow beyond them. You may need to involve yourself beyond your own circle, there are many causes in the world that need energy of people willing to work to help solve others needs.

I think that it is fine to go along with life without resistance but we can choose happiness over sadness most of the time. When bad things happen and I feel sad I allow myself to feel unhappy for a while and then I find things to be grateful for in my life and attempt to find something I enjoy. I think being happy requires determination to be content and making that choice.

Wow! That is philosophical! Interestingly there is a school of thought here in India which says exactly this about people who are content. They it seems have no desires, sadness or happiness. I am confused with all this. I believe that we should be in constant action for the betterment of the society and ourselves. Being passive is for all purposes end of productive life.

We follow the path of our lives. Do not expect anything, that might not be realized. Come along to the groove of life. That way, our lives will feel lighter. Life will become more meaningful.

You are phiolosophizing your life, you can also theologize your life, God has a plan for you. He wants to live for him and witness for him even if you travel in a train, when you look out you see the power and majesty of God around you, you see his images in pain and agony, and yet in those situations you see God grace and love in the galore of food, water, air, animals, families and friends. You have a prupose to live even it means so meaningless to you, whatever you do to affect just few people around you are a blessing. Keep that smile and enjoy the gift of life given to you by God.

The Messenger of Allah SWT said: "How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him." [Muslim]
