Conscription is the only way to teach discipline to young men

NATIONAL SERVICE AND CONSCRIPTION. It's obvious that some countries' governments pay much of their citizens' education and they pay just a token. In this regard it's reasonable to show some patriotism by doing national service. Acase where one has to pay all the tuition fees and others irrespective of your position or status, i don't see the need to national service or be conscripted to duty. nontheless, we should not say what has my country done for me and what can i do for my country? is the patriotic citizen. Those who do this if honoured will definitely serve as an incentive to others. I also think there are many ways one can serve his nation not only living ans serving her but if working abroad which may give many benefits to his nation. All in all, nation service and conscription are not the best ways to teach young people discipine in a country. It should rather be freedom of service.

I don't think conscription is the only way to teach discipline. I think there are people that are just going to be trouble makers no matter what. Once they were drafted in, they would just cause trouble there and try to break the rules. I've seen it happen even though we just have a volunteer force right now. And there are lots of troubled girls too that could benefit from it. And we've come so far to prove that we are equal it wouldn't be fair to not draft them too. Personally, I don't want to serve in the military. Not because I don't believe in it or anything like that. I don't want to serve because my husband serves and I want to be able to stay home with my son when my husband gets deployed. I know a family with five kids, the mom is deployed right now and the dad will be leaving next month. I wouldn't want to have to do that to my son.
