I think people leave their hometown and settle in a new place may need more reason. Which thing you consider most when you go to a strange city? jobs or local people or environment or foods or weather or language?
For me, no matter where i go, I have to consider the weather at first. A healthy report show that people easily get cancer if the weather over 35 degree.
Actually, my hometown is 38 degree in summer, really hot. I hope to move to a cooler place after grow up. However, some people told me that everywhere is similar. Fortunately, i don't think so and one day when i got the news about kunming has the best weather in China, I move there at once. Now I live in a heaven as I wished.
No doubt, weather is the umbrella of body health.
What about your choice? Glad to have more information from you. Many thanks.

Hi,goodoldday!
Well, for me,if I'm gonna travel,I won't care about the weather of that place.Sure I won't pick the hottest days or coldest days of the year to go to that place. But it won't be a leading factor. What I concern most is the scenery and maybe food.Since I can speak English,I believe I can travel around most of the countries in the world.Besides, many foreigners can travel around not knowing a single bit of the local language.Body gestures can basically work.
But if you are talking about settling down at one place, then I want to consider as many factors as possible.Weather is not my real concern,as long as it is not extremely hot.I can handle coldness.I can put on as many clothes as possible and stay at home by the fireplace.Mostly I will consider about the security and the caring system, and yeah, the transportation system.I don't like Hangzhou very much mostly because of its poor bus service. Not ample buses and it's always crowded on the bus.Hope the situation will get better when the subway is put into use.
Have a nice day!

Thanks for your fast response. Your comment seems thoughtful and comprehensive.
As to the traffic problem, I think guangzhou is dangerous as hangzhou. Almost every day it occurs traffic accident. Last year when I lived in ningbo, I also heard a bad accident about a car run over a girl who only 17y/o. Those fast cars
and the drivers who get drunk always affect the urban security.
anyway, everywhere suffer various levels of theft incident except ningbo and jiangsu have the better reputation to manage this thing.

Yeah,I'm quite cautious about the seafood right now.I can't get any in Hangzhou anyway since I usually eat in the cafeteria and Hangzhou is a inland city.I did warn my parents not to eat seafood recently.
The traffic accidents are terrible.Thank god that you're ok.My foreign teacher almost got run over this Saturday morning. He was on a short street and the truck was far away. But when he was about to turn, the truck almost hit him.The driver's driving way too fast.Good thing is he yanked out of the way.
Seems that it's very common for people to build houses lately.Well, what can we say?The price of the houses are way too high right now.We shouldn't really blame the farmers for trying to make money to improve their living standards. If they got enough subsidy, why would they still do that?

I live in a cold country in Northern Europe. We have a warm spring, a warm to hot summer, a cool autumn and a cold winter. I love to visit different countries and due to the scenery I adore it when I go to tropical countries. I really enjoy seeing palm trees. I go to a country when it has the most favorable weather but not when the flight prices are the highest. To Southern Europe June and September are ideal: warm but not too crowded. I like November or January to February for places in the southern hemisphere like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. My favorite form of transport is train and that is a safe way to travel. I think it is important to wear a high factor suncream, slip on cover in the hottest part of day and wear a wide brimmed sun hat.

Thanks for your long reply. I admire you have so many colorful experience in euro.
Sorry for I never been there and know less about that. For me, my healthy limit me unable go everywhere. To prevent the body suffering a lot from the versatile weather, I have to seek a place with proper condition. It is lucky that kunming has such a good condition and the life standard here is affordable. Besides, kunming is famous for something like that. As someone once said,"Kuming, the 'kingdom of plants and animals' is a magical part of mainland China. It is home to the largest ethnic minority population of the country, with 26 groups living in the region. Kunming is a place with great color and distinction, which is reflected in the traditional dress, arts and craft."
Welcome you come to China one day!
Anyway, wear some skin care products in summer can prevent the sunburn but they have chemical constitution which more or less will hurt the skin. So please pay attention to the quantity.
