What can we do except turn off the light?

HI,everybody.
Are you ready?A global activity named Earthhour will start 20:30~21:30 on March 26th in the world.
What is Earthhour?It's a kindly activity ,the lights will stay out off for one hour,an effort to call affention to climate change.The first Earth Hour was held in 2007 in Sydney.More than 2000 businesses and 2000000 people took part.
There is plenty of other stuff that we can do except turn off the light to protection the earth's environment.
*cleaning the household:reduce the use of chemical cleaner or pesticides;
*with lemon and carbon etc instead of chemical smell elimination delightfully ;
*open the washing machine when there have store one thing ,thus saving water,saving electricity and the time;
...
Protecting the earth our homestate is an unshirkable duty for every person.

I just don't know with others, but ever since if we always turn off the lights when not in used. We usually stayed in one place(e.g. living room) or room to save electricity consumption. I see to it we have a schedule for ironing clothes and doing the laundry to save electricity, water and time. I usually bring cloth bags when buying some things in the market... I also recycle some things that still can be used... Its every persons responsibility to take care of our environment.

I do agree with your statement here. We turn off all the lights that we are not using at our home. I don't believe in keeping lights or any other electricity on if I am not using it. Many people are using electricity and they don't need it. I try to think smartly when it comes to using electricity.

A several months ago,my lecture tell me about a electric saver devices that looks like a sticker.My lecture say this technology still did not commercial into public

I agree! There are more ways to protect our Mother Earth. Earth hour is one of these. Let's participate in the said event. Let us give HER a one hour rest!! =)

hi, yes I agree that there are other more ways that we can do to save our planet as you already mentioned, turning of lights together however is one of the easiest, simplest and most visible way if we want to leave an impact on our solidarity, yeah I think it's effective and it's a good reminder to all of us not to waste resources, not just during Earth hour but on how we go about doing our business day to day, yes I will be one of those who would support the Global activity

It's good that stuff like Earth Hours are planned. The earth is the best place to be, no other planet is as a good as this. Why would we destroy it then?
Always turn off lights, it saves you so much money and at the same time it makes the planet happy! So please, people of the world, save that energy, save your earth, save your pocket and of course, in the end, your life. (think of energy sources going dry)
