A quote that my boss always says:
"If you aim for the roof and you fail, you fall on the ground. If you aim for the sky and you fail, you fall on the roof"

Whenever you do something, aim high, deliver high. but of course, you should also be able to set the expectations properly. Set the expectations low, deliver high.
One thing that you should learn is to not put your hope in people or in things that you cannot control. This will give you less disappointments.
When you plan on doing something, have back-up plans and a contingency plan. back-up plans would be alternative options in accomplishing what you want to do. Let's say you'll go on a vacation. Plan A would be to go on the shortest route possible. Plan B would be to use service roads or side streets if the shortest route has heavy traffic. A contingency plan would be, what you will do if your plan failed. Let's say the vacation was canceled, what would you do with the time that you have set aside for the vacation.

you should look at the brighter side. Failure doesnt mean zero. It always has something that gives you more courage to always try again. Remember you will not succeed if you wont keep on trying.
How to overcome it? Dont take it too negatively. Life is so short to stop living after a failure. Just learn from it and try to consider that factors of your failure. That is the reason why we study history. We take time looking back so as to keep failure in the past from happening in the future.

it is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

sometimes when I fail and sometimes when I'm down, I will choose to take a bus to view outside. it really helps. you can find many tiny things which you usually ignore. you will open to another world.
this is my way. I hope it can be helpful.

you see, failure is the mother of success, when you suffer an experience of failure, maybe you can find the way to success,so don't give up.don't be upset, just come on and go to do your best.let those upseting things go to hell.if it wasn't this,it would be something else.IN a word we couldn't change the fact of being failing in something.but at least we could change the views of how we see it .

I don't believe in failure, because in everything that does not meet my definition of success, there is a lesson to be learned, and if that lesson is learned, then success has taken on a whole new definition.

EVERY successful person has failure under their belt. Failure will teach us what not to do. If we know what not to do, how can we do anything but succeed??? Be on your toes. THINK!!! Don't let this opportunity go by without learning. I can't wait for my next Big screwup!!! It's going to be Glorious!! Just think how much smarter I'm going to be.

Well, someone have told me that getting up is another thing for you to learn and I'm sure you'll learn it pretty fast, just like any subject you have gone through in highschool. Life is a learning process itself and we should never dismiss anything as unlearnable.

Failure is not an option for me. I try to be the best and do the best in everything thing that i can. With that being said, if I do fail I will pick myself up and try again. I hate to give up, people who quit will never win. I also think having high self esteem or confidence in who you are won't allow you to quit. You asked for advice, so i think you should develop confidence in yourself, so you can over come the things you have failed, and to pick yourself up, head high and try again.

Try again and again, until you succeed. Doing things repeatedly teach how to overcome failure. Don't think about what had happened before just learn from it and do the things you've done wrong the last time correct. And always remember it's easy to give up but if you have an aim, ambition it will help you reach your destination.
So...never give up and have a nice day.

Overcoming failure is a difficult thing for me. I think because most of the time your trying really hard not to fail and so when ou do fail it's very discouraging. IT's like you have come that far and now the hope and confidence you had before is crushed. Failures can be small or large and varying degrees. I have to take it one day at a time and strive not to let it overwhelm me. I look for the positive things that I've accomplished, the good that I've done and try to focus on those. Setting new attainable goals is another thing I try to do. I remember that I'm not perfect so failure is bound to happen. The key for me is to keep trying and not give up.
