As Seen On TV

LOL On Tuesday nights, my husband and I enjoy watching a show on Discovery Channel called "how it's made." We've seen everything from running shoes, to industrial machinery, featured on that show. Occasionally they'll show us how a certain kind of food is made. One week it was Cheesecake, one week it was hummus, tonight, they showed Sushi. I LOOOOVE Sushi, and now I'm craving it. LOL That's the only problem with that show. If I see food I like on there, I crave it afterwords, because the show got me thinking about it. Sadly I don't get paid until next week, but as soon as I do, I'm going to my favourite restaurant and I'm going to stuff myself! Do you get hungry when you see your favourite food on TV?

hahaha yes me and my husband watch that too! there was also an episode on lighter, and how it was made it was cool with all those manufacturing machines and i also saw one episode on chocolate and candies and that cheesecake episode also made my mouth water..though i did not buy any since it is expensive But like you i also get hungry when i see my fave food on tv. Just like when i watch Food Network, i just so love it that i hate it because all my favorite foods are being made and cooked there! hahaha. There is an episode by Bobby Flay on Sweet CREPES!! and i so wanted to do and make it but i cannot make it since i do not have money for the ingredients and till now i want to make it. I also love watching Sweet Drems, its all about pastries and i crave everytime i watch it...but till now i am on the craving episode.

I love sushi but prefer sashimi the rice just stuffs me faster and prevents me from eating more When I see good food on TV sometimes it makes me hungry as well. Thats why nowadays i tend to stay away from cooking shows as it is hard to find the food they show in it!

I have the opposite problem. Whenever I watch a show about food, or whenever I grocery shop, or whenever I prepare foods (and, trust me, I do minimal taste-testing), I feel like I've already eaten and am FULL. I wish that translated into being thin, but, alas, even when I'm feeling like I've already had a turkey dinner, I do have to eat for nourishment. So, I feel uncomfortable and full most of the time.

I'm not a fan of real sushi. But my son introduced me to vegetarian sushi, and that's quite yummy.

Oh yeah! I love sushi too!! I really hate seeing food on TV especially when I am on a diet or still contemplating on what to eat since we were not able to cook at home oftentimes. They just make me drool! Especially food on TV are really good in terms of food styling.

Try this before you go eat your sushi next time: Make a picture of the sushi you are going to eat, remember some of its flavour, texture, how delicious it is when you eat it slowly... now, think about all those great things about sushi and make a delicious picture of the sushi you want. Now make it bigger and at the same time, clearer, make it more focused as it becomes bigger and bigger, so that the more focused it becomes... Well, try it!

Ive watched this show in the past, but havent seen if on lately. I want to see how sushi is made, and want to learn it myself. Sometimes I do or I get very hungry and end up snacking. Some shows just turn me off that food as well, such as the one they made hotdogs, and sausages.

For the most part, they are all my favorite foods. I do sometimes get cravings for foods I see on television, or I go in and make something that is even better.

Sushi? BLA!! Aren't you afraid of eating raw things? Yuck!! No pun intended dear one but I can't imagine myself eating anything raw! Especially with all the dangers out there just waiting to get us sicker than sick! But yes, when I see something that I like on tv, it makes me crave it even more.

Oh, definitely. I enjoy a wide variety of foods, and I love watching shows about food. The downside, of course, is that they have the power to make me crave foods that I don't always have on hand (and may not be able to easily obtain). Of course, now that you've brought up sushi, I will be thinking about that. Oh, wait, I already had that on my mind. :-) Love sushi. I could eat it for every meal for several weeks and not tire of it.

I have a 20 and a 14 year old sons. Do you know how many how it;s made shows i have watched? I am happy that the boys like to watch 'learning' shows....but after a while, I just want to watch a half hour sitcom. It really is an interesting show...and I have sat down and watched it many times. Hopefully, you got to eat and enjoy the sushi.

I often watch Rachel Ray program and every time after that I want to cook like her. It looks so easy yet gourmet like and of course yummy... But then I had to shop in a high class store to get all those things she mentioned, and I could not afford that. So, I can only drool and telling myself, one day..

I love watching cooking shows. I learn how to cook and get tips in cooking and buying. Funny, the other day, I was craving for sushi. My kids and I went to the supermarket a while ago and we bought some seaweed wrappers, eggs, crab sticks, and lime. My kids enjoy making and eating sushi.

I'm a big fan of sushi & sashimi now I wnat to have sushi for dinner... Yes, as the matter of fact, I have been watching a TV drama about sushi and sashimi, it is painful to watch iot because they look so good and I want to have sushi so bad eveyrtime when I watch it... But it is so expensive to get them here so we only do sushi dinner once in a while. When I watch those food shows, I often feel like I cold taste it in my mouth
