Have you ever encountered this situation yet? You was late to work, you need a comb to comb your hair. But you do not see it anywhere. You run around the house to search and asking people. Finally, you find yourself holding a comb in hand!

Yes, it happened to me a few times, and it is really very silly of me. First incident is similar to yours. I was searching for my handphone around the house, not knowing that it was all along in my hand. Second incident was closing the wooden door after stepping out of the house and not knowing that I don't have the key in my hand and I couldn't go back in cause I have locked the wooden door from inside. So I was stuck in between the wooden door and the grill door. Lucky I gave a spare key to my sister and I had to call her to come over to my house to open the door for me, LOL! So, it's a good thing to give a spare key to a family member who is not living in the same house as you.

You're right. We should do that. We don't know when we'll forget some things. right?

Yes, it's usually my car keys. I normally find them in my pocket. Pretty sad to be running around the house looking for keys that are jingling in your pocket.

I tend to be forgetful sometimes as well. Sometimes I forget my keys inside my pants' pocket which then will seem lost tomorrow. I'll be cursing again on where I've put it.

Well not that exact situation... but yeah I've had that happen to me, like my cell phone, I was talking on it with my husband and I couldn't find it, I was freaking out and my hubby was like "where did you have it last?" and I said something like I had it when you called and now I can't find it anywhere, and then it dawned on me that I was in fact talking on it, it was really funny and we laughed about it for a while. It was not the brightest moment in my life that's for sure.

yes! this actually happens to me oftentimes. Usually when I am looking for my hanky, rummaged thru my bag, pocket etc. just to find out that it is in my shoulders. Or when I am looking for my eyeglasses and I am unconscious that it is in my head! :)

Do you think that it will be dangerous if this repeat many times?

yeah i think so, everything is excessive is bad imo. it can lead to permanent memory loss, so we have to observe if it's happening more often than usual. but if it is just a minor case, no need to worry. it happens :)

Yes, I have encountered this situation and I know of countless other people who did as well. I usually look for my glasses which then sit on my nose, so I don't find them laying around. - I asked myself the question why didn't I figure out that they were there right on my nose if I could see really well?- Where I come from we call this the professor syndrome.- I think this kind of thing happens, because we are not in the present moment with our thoughts. We did what we did on autopilot and our thoughts were somewhere else.- This situation is a good reminder to be present at all times.

I don't know that this is called the 'professor syndrome'. I hope that this is not a dangerous sign of my health.
