Your mind also needs exercise like your body to do some cross world puzzles or play common games like solitaire or chess to keep your mind sharp. Trying new things let your mind wonder and lets your creativity come out and everything is possible when practised will be shown. Tension can came in your mind but you should relax this will help you to memorize more. If you know more activity to increasing the brain power or memory. What can I do to increasing the brain power and what you do

I understand what you say, and I am agree, for instance, I like the games Sudoku and Kakuro, this are mind games, related with numbers, that I consider some of the more funny and challenging, and the best to keep the mind in activity. there are other things that keep the mind active, such as hobbies and reading, etc, I think that the worst for mind, but for the life in general is inactivity, like resting in a couch, watching tv.

Hi Surekharathi. All good points. I am a real active person. But no matter what I do memory will never come back to me like it was before I got hit by a car. I am still getting memories of my past that I didn't even know had happened. It is wise to keep active and try to be creative . Can't let tension take over have to take charge as soon as it starts to come on. Good discussion my friend.

Hi!!!! If you are still working, don't stopped. Continue of what you are doing and attend some meetings, conventions, seminars, anything that you know will increase your brain power. And if you are only in the house try to think that will help your brain run like what you said, play chess, crossword puzzle, computer games, watch an educational show on tv and don't stopped reading (any reading materials). Eat also peanuts. Don't stuck your mind in one place and one more be active in myLot.

hi! in increasing brain power is a simple meditation you can do right now is just closing your eyes and pay attention to your breathe, tensing up your muscle and then relaxing them may start to help, try to drink a lot of coffee the research show students who drink coffee before major exams shows higher score also in chess games, it is short term but it works, avoid sugar and any simple carbohydrates can give you brain fog and try getting advice and talking in your mind can be a great way to access the information in your subconscious mind just an imaginary friend in your mind this things can help your brain power increased,

Trying new things that involves the brain to use like puzzles, chess and problem solving helps a lot in making mind sharp. Also sleeping timely and eating healthy and other certain timely things helps alot to let the brain function properly.

The mind needs to be constantly active. I especially hate it when I'm at work and I have nothing to do. Some may find it weird, cause most employees love going to work and not do anything. I love working because it keeps my brain working. I like to think, I like using my brain. I love to observe and analyze stuff. I love learning new things. My work is in IT development, so it requires me to really keep my brain sharp, since what I'm supposed to do entails high/computer logic. When I'm not doing anything at work, (like now) I go to mylot and join in discussions. It helps me think, makes my mind constantly work.

What I do is I eat very healthy and exercise. I also feel that reading and writing help with my creative side. These are some of the things I do along with prayers. Few moments of silence help relax my brain.

HI sure, Brain power for me is like exercise. Neglect the muscles and it atrophies. Like the muscles, the brain also get sharper by regular exercise. My routine is doing crosswords and reading a lot. Just about anything, as long as it is readable. Spending a lot of time in watching television and playing video games dulls my creativity. It seems I can't make a single idea and my thoughts goes to hibernation mode after a long session in front of the tube. Sleep and a time out walking brings back the magic though.

Yes, i believe that is a great idea in keeping your mind sharp. i like board games too and puzzles. it relieves my stress and it makes me happy to solve puzzles. :)

I have also been interested in boosting my brain power, so I went to lumosity.com. They have games that were created by psychologists to enhance several different mental skills, such as attention, processing speed, cognitive flexibility, and memory. Some of them are free, although most of them you have to pay for. Of course, there are ways to improve the brain without spending money. Sometimes I play a game with friends where we say "I went to the store and bought an apple..." Each person adds a new item following the alphabet, like "apple, banana, carrot, dog" and as you can guess, it gets more and more difficult to remember as the list gets longer. Another simple thing is, can you remember what you ate for dinner yesterday? I try to remember randomly to practice my memory.
