As you have not loged in for a long time you balance is now 0 because as per mylot TOS you have to login once every 90 days how to make money from mylot you can take part in discussion,start discussion but when you start discussion you don't earn anything unless you reply back to each of the mylotters who took part in your discussion,use search engine,tasks,upload photo but if you don't want to do above thing you can earn from referral as many people i have seen few profile where someone has taken part in just 1 discussion but has added over 10,000 referral and just earn from them it really depends on you how you wan to earn but to earn you have to work or says spend time on mylot without doing this you don't earn anything

Probably this is what happened with your few cents. To avoid such accidents, try to login at least once in awile. You don't need to be active, you need only to login to keep your earnings. About the most effective way to make money here, there is no secret: you must be active. As much as you contribute, as much you are paid. Make sure your activity (whatever it is - new discussion, response, comment, photo) brings quality to myLot.
