That`s so sad to hear. And very unresponsible. I really dont know. It sure seems like he didnt intend to and it was accidental. So sad though. :/

this option caught my attention, when im reading this my heart run so fast. can't imagine that the father loose his two year old kid,for a reason we don't know why he left his kid alone at the bath tub.and of course this is so hard to accept in the part of that father the situation,it also almost kill him the pain he felt.
Me,as a mother of two,a 9 and 6 year old kids,i wasn't leave them on my sight when they are going to the bath room/comfort room,im always checked on them, becoz we don't know the accident might be, accidents comes on seconds.that's why im doing all my best to keep watch on them.
i think it is a manslaughter case for that father, which is we all know that it's not excuse,of killing, when talking to laws.
tsk tsk tsk so sad story.
thanks to this topic MR.,coz this will serve as an example to all parents
thanks and GOD BLESS

I dont think this constitutes murder, as the others have said. Murder is intended, but this is involuntary just as you would get if you hit someone with your car. Its definatly Neglectful. And maybe child abuse. Its pretty irresponsible of this father to leave a child of that age in the tub. But this is a tragic situation, I would wonder really what is the situation as to why he left the room. I dont think you should ever leave a child alone in the tub, but he might have run out for a second. Who knows.

Hi. hmkoct5. I think that the father should be charged with Involuntarily Manslaughter with Neglect of his child. I panicked every time just thinking I may have to ever leave my two year old daughter in the bath tub alone. I could not leave her out of my sight. My daughter would even cry when I would let out the bath water. She will scream and holler while I am hanging up her wash cloth while I am standing in front of her. She did not want me to leave her alone in the bathtub, but I never did. I always stayed with her. Sometimes as parents we get caught up in doing something that will have us busy. We should always try our best to keep our kids as safe as we can. We are not perfect and thing may happen. I don't think that this father intended to kill his own child. But I will definitely have to question how long he walked out and left his child sitting in the bathtub. The child have never been left alone in the first place though. This is a tragic and sad accident. Another one of our precious babies gone too soon.
