In this vacations I did a lot of things I never do. One of them has been to read a lot of magazines with plenty of pictures. I´m an expert now on royal weddings and star´s divorces. The pictures have baffled me though: many beautiful and rich ladies are using very high heeled shoes that look about 2 sizes bigger than their feet? It seems it´s in, but I don´t know how they can walk. Have you noticed this? What do you think of it? Would you wear those shoes? Share!

Sorry I don't ware high heeled shoe. But thought my observation I notice there are women who wear the shoes the way you have describe. I guess it is a fashion style or something. Women when it comes to beauty, style and accessories, they will do anything for it. No pain no gain right ladies. How about pain is in the mind and beauty is in the eye.

SOME women, please! Some others think that the human body is beautiful as it is: a true miracle of life. I have enough pains from age to add more wearing uncomfortable clothes or getting blisters in my poor feet by wearing shoes that don´t fit. I prefer people to find me beautiful inside. Some do

Don't Take offence of what I have said. I was talking as an observer only. Coming from the heart I can say a womans beauty is from within. What use if you are beautiful outside but your attitude and behavior is wild and unladylike. My comments was only along the line of the discussion, forgive me if it offended you my dear lady :)

Hiya margi, While I love those kind of Shoes I am trying to find a pair of normal Shoes that don´t look old fashioned and I can wear them to walk comfortably in up and down the hilly slopes we have here. Yes I have noticed the Shoes some of them are very badly made and fit quite bad and they will be very lucky to escape back injury as a result. Women of our age and up are wearing them too yes but I don´t how they walk in them either. I was watching a Woman in front of me going down a steep slope and she looked like she was riding a Horse with her two legs going in all directions except for the right one. In the name of Fashion what are we doing to ourselves. Me myself I have gone back to flatter Shoes well at the moment it´s Boots and I really don´t care if I get all the stares from here to the end of the World. You know the Spanish love to stare at other People if you don´t wear what they wear (grin). I would rather have my two feet in good condition than follow that fashion. I would love those Sandals if one the high heels were much lower and the sole of the Shoe was flexible. Have you not noticed how all of a sudden the soles of a lot of cheaper shoes have become very rigid unbendable soles? Love the design of them but not the not being able to wear them. Princess Letizia is wearing something like that but they really don´t suit her at all she looks much better being the way she was before.

My granddaughter wears those horrible summer shoes with unbendable soles! I keep on telling her how her feet will be in a few years. There are beautiful sandals that DO bend and are of the right size. I have a whole collection of sandals (some of them 10 years old as I don´t mind age) that are comfortable and awesome. But all of them are low heeled or with just a little heel (can´t wear high heels after my back surgery). In Spain I bet high-high heels are in fashion, with Letizia being much shorter than the prince. The Princess wears shoes that I would not have worn when I was young. You are right: her old shoes suited her more.

Hi. marguicha. I have never noticed this before. I think that it is very odd and dangerous for a woman to wear shoes two times bigger for her feet, especially in high heeled shoes. What if the shoe slips off while she is walking? She could really fall and hurt herself. I don't know why she would want to wear shoes two sizes bigger. She is posing a threat to her life by not wearing the correct size. I would not wear any shoes that is two sizes bigger than my feet, especially if they are high heeled shoes!

I was browsing through a magazine at the dentist this morning and I saw the photo of a beautiful actress wearing equally beautiful shoes that looked at least half to one size too big! I have seen that time and time again and have never figured out why that is...

Yes, I noticed that, but did you see it, they are walking, so you might as well think of buying rugs. You can wear them since you bought them. Importnatly it is a clothing than just for modeling.

I would never wear shoes that arenot comfortable, Jak. In fact, I prefer walking barefooted at home.

I hardly wear high heeled shoes except for special occasions where you need to dress up. I really don't like "murdering" my feet just to look good. I don't wear shoes that are 2 sizes bigger than my feet either because it isn't comfortable and I don't expect my feet to grow anymore so why buy something bigger? I am more for comfort over style.

I doubt that you can walk with oversized high heeled shoes. It´s like when we were little and stole mother´s shoes from the closet. I have a higher (not high) heeled shoes for occations. I wear them then and hope for a chair.

Hehe Marguicha, I don´t read that magazines, but I imagine them. I won´t use them, I´m already a big woman, 1.70 mts, so if I wear those shoes I´d feel like Frankestein´s girlfriend =) Blessings!... Dainy

Oh many of them are comfortable to wear. I wear some, too. Of course you have to buy it from the well known designers/ brand names. Some would look pretty but uncomfortable to wear.

I love to wear high heels! I am 5ft 5 inches tall and my boyfriend is 6 feet 5 inches so I, lol, do not feel odd wearing them. I cannot imagine wearing two sized too big for my feet. My thought is when I wear my heels I need to grip my feet to the shoe so don't know how it is possible to do that when the shoe is bigger then my actual shoe size. That is odd and normally the biggest complaint I have ever heard is that the is too small, lol.. But who can understand the rich!

I cannot wear highheels now after my back surgery, but I did love them way back then. But what I don´t understand is the big sizes. As you point out, you need a grip. Maybe they just stand there to have their pictures taken and then a lot of brainless females buy shoes too big to walk on.

HOw come they wear shoes bigger than their feet especially open toed shoes or sandals?? How can they walk with it? I would not want to wear shoes bigger than my feet except if its a rubber shoes. It should be an inch bigger to have room for you feet when doing activities like running.

Don´t ask ME! I saw the pictures, read the two lines beside that, saying that they were in fashion. So I said that blisters are in fashion now, but not for me.

Those are most Likely Custom Made Shoes which are Big and Fancy with Lots of Added Items on the Shoes. So They Look Bigger than Normal. Some Famous People may have Bad Feet to so they Need a Bigger Shoe. They Stand All Day sometimes as their Job Requires. It can be the Photograph as that also can make an Object seems Larger than it is. Shoes can be a Half Size Bigger than Your Actual Size. Sometimes Bigger Based on How the Shoe is Cut and How the Fit is. I Wear What I can Afford to Buy and What is On Sale.

i believe these type of shoes were made of light materials so that it would be easy to wear. Most of the people who wears it are more into fashion and also wanted to get more attention from others.
