The Congress keeps jumping up and down about President Obama not discussing with them what he was or is doing in Libya when there was a meeting with many members of Congress prior to the mission with a full discussion. He also sent a letter to Congress within the time limit specified in the War Powers Act. Please see the following link: http://contentusatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/03/obama-meets-with-members-of-congress-on-libya/ Your thoughts?

...Hi there. Sorry about that. I will see if I copied it correctly. Thanks for letting me know. In essence it was an article outlininmg a meeting the President Obama had with Congressional members from both parties on the 16th of March during which he told them about the administration's concerns regarding the Libyan situation. Be back in a bit.

...Hi, I tried it and it does not work for me either. Strange because when I received it, the link went right through to the source. Try usa today obama meeting with congress on libya in march. You might find it that way. So sorry but it's called Murphy's law. "o) But it's very worthwhile reading the article. Thanks a bunch.

It is one of those leadership things. The leader is to ask Congress for permission. There were two weeks in which time he could have asked the Congress for Permission to participate in an international action and then met with leaders from both parties to update them as the process went on. He has to remember that he is dealing with people with big egos. Remember Senator Boxer who reprimanded a Military Officer for calling her Mam instead of Senator. Some of these elected people have very big egos and are not afraid to make a major case out of any perceived slight.
