I am from the Philippines and I love traveling. I used to travel a lot when I was still single but now that I am married I cannot travel as I would like to because of the two kids I have. I would want to bring along my children in my travel. But bringing the kids in travel entails a big budget financially. I dont want my children to miss going to places.
Can anyone advice me or give me tips how to budget my expenses?
Can anyone suggest places, resorts that are affordable?

I travel with my three year old disabled son and my 21 month old daughter. It is expensive to fly because I have to pay for an adult, a child and an infant. My daughter won't be an infant for very much longer. Then my trips will get even more expensive.
I like to look at a flight comparison website so I can travel at the cheapest time of the year. On Flight Scanner I can look at the prices for every month of the year then look at a particular month. When I have selected it takes me through to the travel agency offering that deal.
I find that staying in a local guest house in a room for 3 or 4 people quite cheap. My favorite way to travel is by train and I find the fares economical. Sometimes I take advantage of a rail pass. When I have very little money I camp in my tent. I do self catering and have a water bottle with tap water in it. Eating out and getting cold drinks would be a waste of money.
Maybe you could visit Bohol Island to see the Chocolate Hills. Rather than at a resort and guest house would be a lot cheaper.

I have traveled with my children years ago and it all depends basically on how you want to travel and where do you want to travel. Flights are expensive but there are charter flights that are less expensive, airlines that are cheaper than others and thereĀ“s also high and low season.
If you travel for a week or two, the children will not get undernourished if they eat sandwichs instead of going to restaurants. When we travelled with the girls, we rented a car ( the cheapest one available) and started with the supermarket. I even have an electric coil that heats water to make soups and coffee in cheap motels where there is no such facility.
My children learnt to carry backpacks and to make sandwichs while we drove. More important, they learned that travelinmg was their gift and that we would not buy them souvenirs everywhere.
In many places there are unexpensive motels in highways. In other places you can camp if you rent a car. Europe has wonderful cam sites and they are not as expensive as hotels.

When you are not suitable to travel, it is the best time for you to accumulate your saving so that, you are well prepared for the next travelling.
To go for the economic traveling, many people decide to work on the ships.
They can save a lot on the traveling fares.
If you have many pen pal friends, then you can save a lot of money in your accommodation.
Some nice person will spend you everything when you visit them.

hello nj, travelling abroad with your family is so expensive especially if its a peek season. i suggest try searching for travel packages, many travel agencies are offering a family package for example or you can try also searching for the airline promo so you can schedule your travel while saving for the said expenses.
i love also traveling to different places, my next target is to travel to Europe with my family. travelling with your family brings a joy you can't imagine.
