I was a call center agent in a bank. as customer call I have to verify the data to make sure that the caller is really the owner of the account. but many of customers don't like it. they feel like it's a waste time or annoying. some of the questions are personal like "mother maiden name". I can truly understand how they feel but this is for your safety too. mylotters do you have annoying experience with call center agent? I'm sure you do :)

opps sorry, some network error,my response was posted un finished. okay let me continue (hahaha) i can't stand this kind of job,but decent salary is enough to compensate with this stressful job on earth what's annoying to me is,when customer called in very upset and so irate start shouting that he is not happy with the company's provider services.(i works as technical support, with mobile phone and provider) Then, just to find out that,he did not charged his phone that's why it's blacked out(annoying, funny and st*pid experiences eh...lot more to tell)

I previously worked in a travel agency. If there are problems with flights, I usually call different international airlines. There are some international agents that are really rude and not willing to help you. I tried to be nice because I know that of you are nice, these agents will help you. But the more I became nice, the more rude they become.

Personally when it comes to a Bank, or calling with questions concerning one of my other accounts I have somewhere, or my Credit Cards, etc. I am glad that they request the information like for a Security question etc. which helps to prove to them that it is really you. Because in this day and age it is too easy to have identity theft happen, or people try and use your accounts, it is unreal. I would say to them isn't it better to be safe than sorry?
