I received a fruit juicer as a lucky draw for my office dinner 2 months ago. Until now I have not used it once. Been thinking what kind of fruit would be best to juiced. Any suggestion?
I had a friend who suggest I juiced a green apple + 1 celery stick + Bitter gourd + Cucumber + a spoon of honey. It is said the concoction is healthy and good for detoxification. It is full of fiber and it is natural.
What do you think? I am more scared of the taste since bitter gourd is in the concoction. Do ant myloters have anything similar that might help me reduce a size or 2 in the waist.

My advice would be to experiment!
Some fruits and vegetables are more successful in a juicer than others. Don't forget (if you are interested in fibre) that most of the fibre is thrown away when you juice something!
I would start with fruits which are available in plenty at the moment and ones which are commonly sold as juices. Things like the sweeter citrus fruits, apples, mango, pineapple and so on. This way you can be certain to enjoy the juice at its freshest and with the most vitamin C.
I would then go on to juicing vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, celery or cucumber - in fact, anything which has a fair amount of juice and has a distinctive flavour. Vegetable juices are different from fruit juices, of course, but can be just as refreshing, especially as a cocktail or a starter for a meal. Tomato juice (perhaps with some carrot, cucumber and celery) is very good with the addition of a little Worcester sauce, a drop or two of Tabasco (chili sauce) or just a little salt and pepper.
Finally, I would experiment with mixing juices. I recently bought a (ready made) bottle of orange and carrot juice (about 75% orange with 25% carrot). It was very good and, if I had a juicer, I would certainly try it. Apple and ginger would also be one I would try. I think I would advise blending just two flavours at first, juicing each one separately to begin with until you had the proportion right.
Some of your experiments may be complete disasters but others may be 'serendipity' discoveries! Never be afraid to experiment!

Thanks owlwings, I like your idea. Need to reduce my waist a little doctors orders. I will do as you suggested. I think the more than two mix will wait until I have perfected the art of juicing.:)

I normally squeeze my lemon, it easier and require less cleanup. Bu if you use a fruit juicer why not.
