Offline-Printing status

Hi,
I am using an EPSON LQ 590 Dot matrix printer connected to a printer switch and used it in a network of 4-5 Win XP PCs.
Currently, this EPSON printer's status shows offline-printing and nothing comes out of the printer though the physical printer's leds lit up and appears to be ready and normal.
Any solutions?
I have tried re-installing the drivers but the result is still the same.
