Everyday as I look on "new user" discussion, I can see that more or less 10 are added. Congratulations to myLot community!!
And I notice some things that is constant everyday: this is how the newbies make their discussion.
*one-liner description of their one-word title.
*asking how to earn on mylot
*poll-type questions
*and a lot more
I admit, my first time in mylot wasn't easy because I never get to read SOME of the FAQS, and never at all read the guidelines. I am more interested in reading the discussions related to myLot and I get some lessons there. Because the other informations are not given, I tend to make mistakes such as deleted discussion for many times.
I also make as many discussions as I could before knowing that it's "I type, I earn. You type, you earn." So what's important is to give quality comments on all my responses.
So now, before I make a discussion, I make sure to scan first the guidelines. And whether I make a discussion that is to be deleted, I already know it by now and I accept it if it's going to be. Just want to share it with you.
How about you? What can you say?

Yes, I noticed how newbies posted discussions, some are really good, most are a one-liner or poll-er. Well, they will learn soon when they do not get responses or have discussions deleted, just as you were the first time here.
I read the guidelines and the faq before joining so I kind of new beforehand that I could not post polls and that I have to respond and comment to be paid. However, along the way I got confused, some discussions that I thought okay got deleted while some that I thought polls were still here. So,...

I didn't read the guidelines. The admin always sends me notification message regarding my deleted discussion which is poll type. And I learned my lesson from that so I never make any poll type of posts again, well, not until I got 3 deletions.
I'm also confused whether I violated the guidelines or not. Sometimes I make it a try.

I have noticed that MyLot is getting bigger because like me when I signed up, there are people that sign up and just do not come back right away. I did that, then one day I went into my bookmarks and took a good hard look at MyLot. I now love this site. There are people out there that do the same thing, some come around and become active and then there are those that just do not come back. I believe in trying a site and seeing if it suits me or not.

Oh yes, myLot population is increasing at an impressive rate, with people from countries around the world joining every day. It is very unique community, members working together and helping one another. I joined myLot over 3 years ago, and I am certainly very glad that I did.

There is something that can interest almost anyone with participation in mylot. That can only make the population in this community continue to grow.

I think it's really neat that mylot is growing as fast as it is, and I admit, I think we have all asked how to make money on here at one point in time or another. If we would actually read through the guidelines, we would know what to do, and how to make the most out of it.

I remember the times I used to post non sense discussions that gets deleted. Well, we all learn by our mistakes and we should not repeat it again by reading the guidelines seriously.
And yes, almost all the answers to our questions are in FAQS, if not, then go ask the admin.

Hi there adnileb. I remember when I was still new here at mylot. I was like not that active during my first few weeks because I can't seem to start a topic I want to share and every time I try to search for topics that interest me, I seem to grope for words. I admit that I didn't really pay attention to the FAQ's and the guidelines up until that point where I got a notification that my answer was deleted on one of the discussions. I didn't even know what the tasks are for or what the other tabs are for. It's true that most newbies who start discussions here at mylot usually ask for tips on how to earn more money online.

Same with me though my first time here was focused on tasks because it's the only way I know I can earn. Good thing later on I found out something better like this (posting a discussion and commenting). Now, I don't do tasks anymore, I just focus on posting a discussion. Although it's hard to think of a quality discussion sometimes.

Hi there Belinda!
It is not nice being a new user on any site for the first few days and for some of those who join myLot it is also their first online experience. Many make mistakes of course. Some of them are happy hen we point out to them that if they read the information that myLot provides, they will get more from the time that they spend here. Others then think that it is too much like hard work and just give up. That is their loss and in some cases ours too because they might have a lot of new ideas for topics and we will never see them
Among those 'new' users are also returns too. Some because they cancelled to start all over again and some because they didn't behave as they should have done first time round.
We can welcome them all and try and get them to realise that there is no other site like myLot and that they will learn, earn and get paid here.
I have seen that you are often sharing what you have learnt too with those new users. Way to go!

Many make mistakes?
I made LOTS of mistakes during my first time here.
And keep on violating the guidelines by posting poll type questions over and over again. I just can't understand their coverage of poll type.
And yes, I always welcome all newbie mylotters whenever I came across with them on some discussions. It's overwhelming to meet them along the discussion, especially when they really participate and enjoy.

Hiya belinda,
myLot is a lot different four years ago when I first join the site. I just can't remember the number or I just did not bother to check it at that time.
Well, the number is increasing each day. And this site is getting more populated, not only with members but with topics. In the long run, we could lose a topic to start a discussion.
I guess I done the same thing, getting off this site without checking the terms, the guidelines, the rules. But for four years, I learned to even post well, and taking too much of care before starting another one. I don't want to lose a point and I also do not want my friends lose a point because I posted a topic that will only gets removed.
But despite of the learnings I got, I know, I still have a lot to learn. From the members who came ahead of me. From the members who are more senior than me. And even from the newcomers like you.
Enjoy the site and have fun. See you around.

I listed the number yesterday by the time I posted this discussion and now, almost 50 were added. As you say, the more members were added, the more topics were lost for us to start with. But this practices our mind to think in case your idea of discussion was already posted by other mylotter.
Learning here at mylot is unlimited. Sky is the limit for the knowledge we get to know everyday. We learn from all the mylotters, be it new or old.

A lot more than 10 new members are joining my lot every day : more than 25,000 in the past year, though many are not active.
When I join a new site, I always begin by the FAQ and TOS, but I have been trapped at myLot like many in poll type and game discussions at the beginning. However, I still respond to some of them, even when I am 99% sure that they will be deleted : myLot is also a place to have some fun, and if you give me the choice between a few cents and a good moment of laughter with friends, I will not chose the cents.
Many discussions are deleted today because they are duplicated, so I think it would be a good thing in the future to search for similar discussions with the search bar before starting a new discussion.
Have a nice day.

My lot to me is great outlet to learn about different things from almost any category you can imagine from life experience, difficult problems in life and so many different things that it could fill ten's of thousands of pages.I type, i read, i learn and earn all at the same time both improving my understanding of people, typing speed and accuracy, creativity, and on top of that earn some extra cash.My lot is one of a kind and a warmly welcome anyone who has recently joined , and encourage other to join.I already have told all my friends and family about the programs and a lot seem interested.

Mylot is a great site and I agree with you on all the benefits of mylot. There are two things I haven't noticed in me that's true, "typing speed and accuracy". As I type comments everyday, I'm practicing my typing ability.
And to all the newbies, welcome to mylot!!
Well, I was just wondering who put some negative tags on my post.

Yes I know newbies can be a pain espeicially the ones with low quality answers just to earn money they think they will earn but they don't. Yes they always talk about how to earn, earn ,earn. They think that's all mylot is they don't get the warm loving community mylot is and their earning questions are repeated 100 of times I wish they would just get that we don't enjoy answering the same questions.
