I am living in Hong Kong and people don't normally sleep before 12:00pm even they have to work the next day. There are tons of people who loves to play around with their social network such as Facebook or yahoo blog(twitter is not that common in Hong Kong since they don't have it in Chinese ).But it will be scary for the people who lives in Europe or North America if they have to live like that. I still remember while I was still in Canada, it was so impolite to call up the family over the phone after 9:pm since many children needs to sleep early and same as the couple. But it will never happen to Hong Kong like that.Well, what do you think and what is the best time for you to go to sleep ?

This sound very strange for me because I always thought that japanese go to sleep very early because they have to work in early morning.
Me too I don't sleep before midnight even if I have to wake up at 6.00 am.
For me 6 hours of sleep are enough to restore my energy. If I sleep more I fell more sleepy during the day. As you said me too I love to play games, chat, staying in mylot of course, before going to bed. It's a good way to relax after a work day.

Yes, I know that some people don't need to sleep too much, they can just sleep for afew hours and their energy will be restored. I hope I can be like this people as well.It would be great if I can jsut sleep for a few hours and stay in good health but it seems like it is abit harder for me to do so. I am someone hwo has to sleep for ten hours to feel fully awake, if not i FEEL TIRED DURING THE DATE.I think I can sleep less when I was young but since I AM GETTING OLD NOW AND i HAVE TO SLEEP A LOT TO regain my strength. If I STAY UP LATER than 1am, I immediately feel the consequece of sleep late.My body will give me those signals such as stomach uncomfortable, headache, eyes pain and many more. That's why I think it is betterfor me to sleep earlier.

The best time for me to go to sleep was between 12 and 12:30. Around 10:00 I used to get on Facebook and MySpace and then message the Lifecasters at Justin.tv. Sometimes when socializing on Justin.tv, I would stay up at late as 2 in the morning. When I went to sleep around 12, I'd get up around 5 or 6 in the morning and get ready to write. On Saturday nights, I spent time working to send my story manuscripts and wouldn't get to bed until 5 or 6 am. But over the past year, my computers were not working right, and now I stay in a different apartment. So I haven't gotten back to my old habit of going to be at 12. My apartment is cold and sometimes I cover up in bed and watch DVD movies and fall asleep too early, like 9 or 10.

I think it depends on the people since different families have different practices. I live in New York and I usually go to bed AFTER 12 AM. This is because I'm not working right now. I'm sure I would go to bed earlier if I had to get up to go to work the next day. I'm usually up until maybe around 2 in the morning, sometimes later, watching movies on Netflix on my iPod Touch lol. I'm trying to get out of the habit though because then I sleep until really late the next afternoon, and I have to change the habit because I have a job interview coming up. I know some people that go to bed at around 10 PM or even 8 PM. It all depends on the person. Some people go to bed late and some people sleep early.

The best time to go to bed is 10pm as the body will begin to repair itself about 1 pm after the reaching the alfa stage of sleep.
Today, the way to a fit and long life of wellness include suitable food intake, regular exercise and sufficient sleep. No doubt, internet browsing and social networking on Face book can consume a lot of our time that we lose sleep, make it a habit to sleep early whenever you can.

Hello wildlittlefan, I am Malaysian Borneon, I think i know what you meant about people not going to sleep early and doing things at night especially late at night, 12am, In my custom is also the same as western country but I sleep late 1230am everyday except Saturday and Sunday, sleeping late is not a problem if we can look after our health and as for children sleeping early, yes we put our kids to sleep early and calling people/friends after 9pm is impolite as well in my custom. A multiracial country like us mostly adapt the same things I said above. Tq, this was a good question...tadonku

sleeping at 12 midnight will not work for me. I need to sleep at 10 pm or the latest at 11 pm so I can wake up at 6 am the next day, otherwise I will feel lousy and sleepy head for the rest of the day. But I know some friends who sleep late at night but managed to get up in the early and be on the go.

Hi,
I went to Hongkong before and the night life is
so happening.Even the clock has struck 12 midnight, but along
the road are still very crowded with peoples everywhere.
Be it youngsters, working people and other ages, all are still
at the road hanging out.
The street was still very busy with cars everywhere and some
eating places are still so packed.
it is totally different from my country, whereby around 12 midnight,
the street tend to get quiet and less cars along the road. Most
people are already at home having their rest.
Hongkong is very happening place and it is almost same like
Singapore.

I think you mean 12am? I can't afford to sleep that late, my body system requires 8 hour sleep and that means I have to be in bed at 10pm. No matter how late I sleep, even up to 1 or 2 am on unavoidable circumstances, I will still be awake at 6am, 630 am and sometimes i am already conscious at 530am. What people do not know is that sleeping beyond 11pm is bad for the health.

I've sleep before 12:00 pm and get up after 8:00am for a long time. But i think that habit is not very good, which makes my health bad. Now i sleep at 9:30 pm and get up 7:00 am next morning. I think this habit is good for health. And i usually take a nap in the middle noon.
