According to news programmes another 2 earthquakes hit Asia on Thursday evening measuring 7.0 magnitude. This time it was on the Burma(myanmur) Thai border. As it was in a remotre part of the 2 countries there has been the report of only 1 death. But the tremor was felt and shook buildings as far away as Bangkok.
Earthquakes in Asia, up risings in the Arab world, what next!!

Try out this site if you like to monitor the daily quakes that Mother Nature is throwing at the world:

There have been a lot of swarms of smaller quakes happening in California and Alaska, and well, Japan is over 1000 aftershocks since March 11.

Check this one out. Watch how insane it gets after the big 9.0 in Japan.

Under the earth's crusts it would seem the plates are moving around a lot. Poor Asia seems to be suffering from more earthquakes. I am very sorry to hear that the Burma and Thai border was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. It was lucky that it was in a remote part and not a busy place where many people live plus work. The uprisings in the Arab world seem to be continuing. I don't think we are at the end of natural disasters and political uprisings.

Hi Leigh, Earthquakes happen all over the world most of the time, there have been three in the last hour and at least eight in the last day I am posting this link for information purposes only for you so you can see the frequency and magnitude arthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/ it is a very interesting site. Most go unoticed but unfortunately with the one in New Zealand and Japan the consequences were complete devastation. Huggles.

All I can say is this could very well be just the beginning. There are things happening everywhere.

I know, it's terrible what's happening in Japan. You know, it makes you think, if the earth is shifting that violently then maybe it could happen where we live. You know, the earth is unpredictable. There are fault line all over the world.

Actually there were 2 other earth quakes that were felt in the Philippines prior to that and after the Japan killer quake, the stronger of which registered 5.6 on the Richter scale. Yes seems like plates are shifting underneath us here in Asia, the Arab uprising, guess that's another kind of shifting.

This is very sad. But nothing much can be done. The immense power of nature is impossible to cope with. I think its time for the nature to settle down the way she wants.
God Bless!
